Can someone help me understand this?

This tournament (http://brainking.com/en/Tournaments?tri=544073&sadb=1) has a 'time control' setting of 5 days 5 hours, but all the running games show more than that, like 7 days and change, even if no move is yet played.
Why would a player get over 7 days for his first move when the time control in the tournament definition says 5 days and 5 hours??

[the cited data will become outdated in some days]
