i'm confused: why would anyone create or play in a brains tournament where the first prize is less than or equal to the entry fee? where's the motivation in that?

Pedro Martínez: yeah, there are rather a few on the Tournaments page (got to by clicking "Tournaments" in the sidebar, of course) in which the first prize is equal to or less than the buy-in.

The tournament will not be started until the first prize is at least a double of the entry fee
