Roberto Silva: I'm pretty sure (well 90% sure) that once a fellowship team is signed up for a team tournament (both Fellowship vs. Fellowship & Site team tournament) - it will run with the player who might drop down to a pawn level before the tournament starts.
(The "check" happens when the team is put into the tournament I believe.)
MadMonkey: Just curious, what happens if a team signs up for a tournament, and one of the players' membership expires just before the tournament starts. Does the team get booted out of that tournament?
Once a player becomes a Pawn they are removed from the Teams within any Fellowships they are in, but have to be removed from the Fellowship by the Boss (or Little Boss). So in other words they can not join any upcoming Team Tournaments / Challenges.
BUT as i say, if they are already in a Team Tournament / Challenge that has started, they will carry on playing in that.
ONly Bishop, Knight or Rook (and those higher of course). If you have joined and your membership runs out, you are still in that Fellowship until you are removed.
Also, if you are in a Team, in a Tournament or Match at that time, you will still carry on playing even though you are a Pawn.
Is it possible for a pawn to join a fellowship? Asking as I believe this is the only way team tournaments can be played, i.e. between fellowships. In other words, what I am really asking is, can a pawn play in a team tournament?
ScarletRose: I think the only fair way would be something that if you put person A on your block list, and both you and A sign up for a tournament, you would be automatically withdrawn. Otherwise, it's too easily abused.
OTOH, I wouldn't mind if tournament creators could have a list of people that are prohibit from signing on. Currently, one can already remove signed up players, but that's an almost impossible task if you have many tournaments.
rod03801: I agree. There's no bug about it just bugged out people. Blocked on here or any other game site simply keeps a person from verbally abusing you and also keeps them from grabbing your games in waiting and from sending insulting messages to you. Tournaments and ladders are different ,you still dont have to listen to their crap but could easily have to play them.Remember Tournaments and Ladder games are ranked different than a casual game and thats why you may get stuck playing them. But they will be muted fools though if you're stuck playing them. And if they're blocked why waste your time worrying about what they are doing on the same game site?!
DamnCat: there is also the bug that allows you to become a friend of person then block them which allows you to keep track of said person but you dont have to put up with any in game nonsense
ScarletRose: That would be abused and not fair. What's to stop someone from putting someone who is better at a certain game on block? Never have to play them and thus never lose to them? Tournaments shouldn't be that way.
If you have them blocked you cannot see what they say, what else matters?
DamnCat: I wish that Fencer would set it up like another game site I used to play in the past.. If I put someone on ignore.. or Blocked in this case.. Then I shouldn't even have to play against them in a tourney. I think if he had that option. A few of the peeps would not have anyone playing them as we would have them on ignore.. aka blocked..
DamnCat: Now, when you have a person blocked, that person can't see you on the game site, right?
Right, with one exception. They can see you on the page of the game you're playing with them, while you can't see them. I have reported this bug bazillion years ago, but it still remains to be fixed. :)
And he/she can't invite you to any games nor accept any games that I post to the waiting games?
I've been thinking about this subject for a while now. Let's say I have a person here blocked and we both sign up to a tournament, and we both end up in the same section. Now, when you have a person blocked, that person can't see you on the game site, right? And he/she can't invite you to any games nor accept any games that I post to the waiting games? What about the scenario I described then? Or is that "taken care of" so that I won't end up in the same section as a person I blocked when it comes to tournaments?
It's French by the look of it. And it's best not to translate it on a public board at all.. again by the look of it.
(V): Did you take your comment from a Monty Python scetch? Figuratively it looks like 'silly walks' or the rest of the jokes we know about british wiggle wobble upper class
Bluefin: lol! .. either he didnt notice you were about to win .. or he did (which seems to be because of his comment) and he was a very good sportsman to decline the draw offer
Thanks for your comment. A chess opponent said that about 3 moves before I check mated him. LOL. I thought he wanted a draw, so I offered one and he refused.
