Oh ok...Thank You! Would I have to click on time left everytime I log into BK or would it be somewhat permanent?

Magic: I'm not sure you understood when harley said click on 'time left' she meant the column heading on the main page not on the settings page.

I sometimes toggle between using the option of "longest game waiting" and "next game to timeout"
They are both great depending on how caught up with your moves you are.
Certainly they are features that fencer has introduced that greatly increase the quality of the gaming experience

When I started playing, my main board was still the same while everything else was different.

Thats the way I have my main board arranged too. I can see at a glance how long is left on all my games. Thats more important to me than listing by game type or anything else :o)

Cool! Now I don't have to worry about timing out any games or leaving the faster 1's until the last minute!

It should happen as soon as you click the 'time left' button, MagicDragon.

How long would the changes take effect? I'm not in any hurry however.

Oh I see! I was getting confused on what I posted earlier (nothing new) LOL! Just leave the ascending/descending part alone & then just click on time left? Thank You Harley! As you can tell, I don't go into that part of settings unless I'm changing vacation days or just taking a vacation! LOL

Magic, doing that would affect the order of your games when you are playing them - when you click 'move and go to next game'.

To change the order they appear on your main page, click on 'time left' to adjust the whole list. And the small green arrow determins which order from there (ascending/descending). Hope that makes sense?

Subject: Settings
I've seen a message posted way below (page 3). I have games w/ 1 day & so many hours left in it below games that have 3 or more days left. Correct me if I'm wrong, would I go to settings, select right above "ascending or descending" & click on "time left" bar & then click on ascending to get my games going the correct way (time wise)? Just curious

Hey, enough! bwild, please message me privately if you want to continue this. This isn't the place. I deleted the worst of the posts, while trying to keep the context of the conversation. I'm sorry if you don't agree.

I personally think it is unfair to keep attacking Purple on a regular basis such as you are doing now.
He is supporting BK with extra funds for a Gold Membership which indirectly will flow back to better resources for all of you on this site.

I think Fencer should do something about these constant personal attacks on people such as Purple and others.

Keep up the good work Purple. We are all reaping the benefits of your generosity

my suggestion would be to take the tags off already

11. October 2004, 16:36:47

I plan to do it. After all troublemakers are recognized and marked.

Yes LJ, there are ways to make a tournament bold, but luckly for us there are only a select few users who like to cause trouble for everyone else - so hopefully that will not come up too often. If it does, then I would suggest to fencer to take out the bold tag from tournament titles... but again, hopefully the troublemakers will not give Fencer yet more work to do.

Not quite true BBW
I just created a tourney called Tournament and used the HTML Bold Tags for the heading. I never selected the "prize tournament" checkbox and yet it still shows up in bold.
I could easily do this and pretend it was a prize tourney and no one would be able to tell the difference I think but it would still be able to start due to no programming restrictions as the checkbox for prize was never checked.

Thoughts on the matter?

Subject: re: Tournament
In the Tournaments section, the tournaments which are in bold are prize tournaments.

They are ran by other users, so sometimes there are no prize tournaments, and sometimes there are many. Plus some are for 1/2 year, some are for a year depending on what the users whats to pay for.

Those were ones that were just filled, so I switched the time to a time that has already expired - so that is why they way they are about 8 hours behind.

At about 3 after every hour the script runs which starts the tournaments.

Does suspended game time apply to tournaments too? Does this mean they need to be started in the traditional way?

Hi!
I would like to know how can a player play 4 games with averages players and have a rating with almost 2600 points?
The opponents ratings are more or less like this; 2150, 1600, 1750 and unrated.
Thanks

Yes - you only see games in the "Waiting Games" section that you can accept. So, since you cannot accept your own invites you do not see them there. You will also not see invites in which: your membership level was not defined, your rating is outside of the defined bounds, etc (any other reason you might not be able to accept it)
