Fencer: if point 1) answered my question i wouldn't have asked it; i've probably read those doubling cube rules fifteen times trying to figure them out. i thought i finally understood, until this happened.
plaintiger: 1) "If a double offer is sent, the opponent must decide whether to accept it (and multiply the current doubling cube value by 2) or to reject it, which causes a loss of the current game and adding the doubling cube value number of points to the winner's score."
2) There is a better board to ask such questions.
i'm confused about a doubling cube rule. i just offered a double (in hyperbackgammon) when the cube read "1" and neither i nor my opponent had any pieces off the board yet. my opponent rejected the offer, so i won - but i only got one point out of the deal. shouldn't that have counted as a gammon and gotten me two points, since She didn't have any pieces off the board yet?
Groucho: The one feature I like in Opera that Mozilla does not have is the ability to make each tab refresh itself at stated intervals. Of course, with BrainKing that is not a problem.
alanback: That has been my experience as well. I'm only guessing but I suspect that the Mozilla developers will continue to make improvements where needed and perhaps make it more compatable to those other sites.
I particularly like the tab feature of FireFox and the search function is much better. As for its compatability with Brainking, I haven't noticed any problems.
Groucho: There are quite a few places on the Web where you will find that Mozilla doesn't work, because the sites were designed to use features that are exclusive to IE. This is true on the Microsoft sites, of course, but I encounter such situations frequently. Still, I use Mozilla for most of my surfing, and activate IE only as needed.
Eriisa: Basically it's more secure. But it has many other advantages too. Check out the website below and check it out for yourself. I use it exclusively and like it. I have had no problems with the switch from IE to FireFox.
