No - all rooks always have 30 vacation days at the beginning of each year, and knights always have 20. Unused days are not carried over to the next year.

Kevin.... are the vacation days then prorated when you pay for a new membership?

On January 1st of each year, everyone's vacation days get reset. I asked Fencer at the end of last year :-)

Does anyone know when your holidays get renewed to the full amount of 30 days? Is it by calendar year or some other moethod Fencer?

Maybe if you dont leave your games that long before your weekend days? Or perhaps play games with longer limits, say more than 7 days, so that you wouldnt even have to make a move per week. No games would ever be below 24 hours by your weekend.

at the beginning of a weekend day ... e.g. today noonish bk was down, and
I had even to come back in the evening to save seven games running out else ... ~*~

sometimes I simply don't want to be forced to making any moves on my
weekend days, no big calculating which games expire nonetheless. - i.e. imho
at clock midnight, b4 weekend days, 24 hours should be added, without mucking. ~*~

I just checked and I see the Backgammom ratings, I just clicked on ratings right below winners on my home page

I had trouble getting on for a couple of days. It happens to me every once in a while. By the way, where did the backgammom ratings go from thew ratings lists?

When I had webtv. last year and I got white screens It always helped me to hit move and stay here, then click on Main Page, then click my next game.... It seemed to work good after I did it three times in a row, then I went back to normal playing

Just took me forever to get on here. All white screens. I tried through a different route than normal, and got to the visitors page. It had my name and login, but still took me to a white screen. I finally tried to enter in the guest mode, and it took me right to my main page? hmmm...
I came right here, and havent tried to play any games yet. Shall see if there are any other problems like yesterday :)

Hmmm.. I'm webtv, and having NO problems at all... But I also didn't have any problems a few days ago when other webtv-ers were having problems..

Tons of problems... thought it was WebTv again.... slow loading..."incomplete loading"...

I had one that wouldnt let me choose my pieces even though my turn, then it disapeared from my game list

after 3 tries...I cant get a game to fully load!!

anyone else expeiencing slow game loads?

So what is the formula(s) that are used in the code here to figure out ratings.

THIS PLACE is where you normally point people, but that mostly talks about games within a tournament. So like that site, does this also have 2 different formulas? (1 for people under 8 games total, and 1 for people over 8 games). That site also talks about Wins & Loses. Is that TOTAL all games win & lose for that game type, or just in that tournament?

Anyway, the whole reason I'm asking is that for the life of me, I can't figure out what is going on with the Dark Battleboats & Battleboats plus ratings. EVERY game that I finish seems to be a rating flex of 40 or more points, even after complete 100+ games. (usually by now the change is a lot smaller). And for the life of me I can't reproduce the math for the ratings of these 2 game types.

It's almost like something in the site code is pointing to the wrong "game total" value or something, which then calculates each rating wrong. (But if I can figure out exactly how the ratings are calculated on this site, hopefully I can figure it out.)

There is no way to fix it yet - that is why it is a bug.

I reported this sometime ago. Was told to go to the bug tracker. I did and couldn't fix it. It did n't give enough instructions on how to use, or I guess i'm just a dummy. :o) Anyway i've gotten used to it and it doesn't bother me like it did at first.

Thats what the bug thing is for, to see what has already been reported. I think? What an oxymoron, me to be thinking ROFL

how does some1 get the red number off the games played after u have moved all ur turns? I did look at the bug list and I guess I don't know how to use it to find out how to fix bugs.

Yea, people like that are a real pain. What are worse are people who spam the message boards - espically on boards which are total off subject.
