--- that guy is a member- NOT quick player, but a rook- so i started eliminating all members and played with pawns until i realized that pawns can play slow too, and members can play fast;]

so now i just go with 1/1/7 and no days off...
AND i explain it to whomever i invite or when i create a new game....

the opponent's clock starts when someone makes a move- [then waits]- you are not charged time while waiting-

we rack up bonuses playing on-line at the same time-

so let us rip off at least a half-dozen moves or more now and max limit to 7 days- then if you want to slow to a couple a day...or so… [i prefer fast games;]

kkkeeek:If you're winning the game, just get used to it and let it finish.  But keep in mind that there are many people like that here on BrainKing.  Always accept invitations with a 2-3 day per move time limit.

kkkeeek: Use a shorter time setting.
Weekends included, the 14-days per game setting will often come to 20 days per move, which means that your opponent will have 3 weeks to play.
5 days per setting should give you enough time for most of your games, and your opponents will be forced to play faster. Just be carefull about your holidays, if they go over a week, so that you yourself won't timeout.

You can also try Fischer clock settings, where a time is determined for the full game. With the appropriate bonus settings and all, faster players will seldom see any difference, but slower players will soon be forced to play faster.

I play with Nagy Peter, now my game is advantage. But problem is he play at his last minutes for many moves (this game about 8 month now). I don't care if he seldom connects internet but the truth is he connects this website for many times but not play the game until the last minutes. This is so boring! How can I do?

Hrqls: true, but many people don't have brains to begin with. July Action will give it to ten people so it is a start. I wish we had a promo period, a month even, where we gave out brains for winning tournaments or something entirely different. I think if we created a system to let everyone earn or attempt to earn brains, the brain tournaments would really start working. I think it was a great idea for Fencer to implement brain tournaments (as evidenced by my name), but so few people have brains that it doesn't seem to be working now.

there are already such tournaments ... you have to enter some brains and will earn more when you win :)

Chaosu: actually spamming Fencer may be a good idea. It may prompt him to action - an anti-spam module for the Message box and some of the DBs would be a real plus for the site ( at Fencer)

Chaosu: Well, he is very nice about it. I have done it a few times and if he has had a problem with it, he certainly hasn't said anything to me.

Vikings: Thats good idea but I am probably not alone, also what about future? I doubt spamming Fencer about releasing from tourney everytime You complete Your games and someone else is playing slow is good idea.

Matarilevich: Thanks. The response has been the same from all. I was used to a NorthAmericain game site and messed things up for this game against my will. I have read the FAQ pertaining to the topic. Understand things much better.

Chaosu: you cannot possibly win or advance any farther in that tournament, if you send Fencer a pm and ask him nicely, he will probably release you from that tournament so you can join another one

I am in a turney for over half year, what about option 'maximum time for round' or something...

(bad idea but i am really stuck!)
