No improvement today on the speed. I just had 10 rows of the smiley's before I could click to save my move. I keep getting distorted pages also.
Then I got this at:

The site is temporarily down
BrainKing cannot connect to the database server. Administrators have been notified and try to fix this problem as soon as possible. Thank you for understanding.

The page was distorted yet I am still here?

crosseyed: It means that database server has been restarted and it usually takes a while. I don't see a point in commenting every unusual event that happens here, especially after I wrote about it in Server News.

Fencer: I am confirming that are a lot of us who are not able to use this site properly. As when we do tell you how slow the site is, others post saying everything is ok for them. Another site I use if they have problems they extend out membership.

crosseyed: Just curious if you tried one of the suggestions that others have said worked?

(try using brainking.cz) Others have said it worked better for them.

Of course the site will show up in Czech, so you would then have to click on the English flag over on the right side of the screen, and then click the confirmation button that you want to change languages.

rod03801: Thanks but there is no need to now as the site is fast today. My friend is now back and able to play his games as normal.
