Winner of the tournament: Paris Hilton♥ 19. Juli 2007, 21:27:09 19. Juli 2007, 20:35:15 Tigger very good idea to bring up to Fencer. No prize tourney should show up in the listing UNTIL payment is made. That is a really good idea. Eriisa I recall that incident from way back when also. I think Tiggers idea would help in that area too! 19. Juli 2007, 20:21:19 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament Rose: I wrote Mike right after he created the Tourney and pointed out that the tourney said he was giving a years rook to anyone who signs up. His reply to me sounded like that was how he wanted it. I seem to recall that someone (who is no longer on this site) had created a tourney that was to have a prize, and just before it started he removed the prize and changed the time limit to over a month. That is one reason why there are some restrictions on editing. 19. Juli 2007, 20:04:40 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament Rose: That's true. Money for prize tourney's should show up right away or they shouldn't be posted. IMO I've run 4 prize tourneys and people have the right to expect the tourney $$ to be there sooner rather than later. 19. Juli 2007, 19:58:44 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament Tigger Its not been paid for yet and is slated to start soon isn't it? Mute point if the money doesn't get to fencer anyway, it wont start! 19. Juli 2007, 19:45:08 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament Tigger: I just read the tourney. It states 1 year rook to anyone who joins.... Or am I misreading? 19. Juli 2007, 19:36:39 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament coan.net: good point. It's not fair to the 70 people that joined since they likely joined because of the stated prize and terms of the tourney. 19. Juli 2007, 19:10:15 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament gambler104: Well that is the reason why it will not allow him to change it - since people signed up thinking it was going to be one thing. To be fair to everyone, either (1) prize that was offered needs to be awarded or (2) delete tournament, and create a new one with the new prize. You can't start a tournament and say you will give the winner $1,000 - then later say "Oh, changed my mind - here is a $1.00 instead) (of course this is an "extreme" example, but hopefully shows the point of why it should not be changed) 19. Juli 2007, 19:04:40 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament Eriisa: It probably would have been best to have it earlier, but it is his prize to give. 19. Juli 2007, 13:27:49 Thema: Re: Prize Tournament Universal Eyes: Is it fair to change the rules of your Tourney prize now that 70 people have signed up??? 19. Juli 2007, 13:25:24 Tournament: FAST Single elimination for 4 - Deja Vu Again (Hyper Backgammon) Your tournament is finished. Winner of the tournament: Rorschach Zener 19. Juli 2007, 05:43:27 This is my 1'st ever pond prize of a 6 month rook which will go to the winner. The tournament is located inside ☺AG☺ and it will start on August 1'st you must be a member of ☺ANYTHING GOES☺ to participate, so if you are not a member there now is a good time to request membership and sign up. I will be putting up another one in ♣FAST PLAYERS CLUB♣ as well following this one. ☺ANYTHING GOES☺ 1'ST EVER POND PRIZE TOURNAMENT, 6 MONTH ROOK 19. Juli 2007, 04:19:41 Thema: Prize Tournament ATTN: I would like to post an amendment for the prize tournament named: Angelina,WILL YOU MARRY ME? Prize Tournament! Prize Tournament for Backgammon!!! There was a mistake in the wording for the prize. The mistake says: (There will be a 1 year Rook for joining.) It should read: (To the winner goes a 1 year rook if you are on a Wham Bams Team Tournament if not you will receive a 6 month rook.) I have tried to edit it numerous times without success so I'm posting the change in the tournament here rather than cancel the tournament and post another. Thanks for your attention to this matter.
