Do I think you should be asking him privately what happened and giving him a chance to explain? Absolutely. And only when you feel wronged should you be airing this out to the public. And with evidence backing up your claim. I don’t know Fencer. And I don’t know you. I have nothing to gain in this conversation other than sharing my two cents about what I would have done to try and rectify the problem. If you didn’t want my two cents, then don’t post publicly.
