I do not have much experience with other sites, mainly because I have read the general chat boards first. I have found that the majority of the people here are friendly and considerate, and most seem to want to maintain at least the semblance of civility. No advertising. 3, No 3rd party Tracking cookies. 4, No Spyware. 5, The most friendly games players on the net. 6, The most helpfull & knowledgable players on the net. 7. The most helpfull Webmaster on the net. 8, A great range of games to play. 9, An absence of the "Child mentality" that other sites have. 10, Taking into account all the above, the very reasonable cost of a membership. That is why we keep coming here despite the growing pains. Having a paid membership is a way of contributing to the development of this site, a way to make it better and support solutions. However, I believe the most important reason, IMHO, is to show our appreciation, and respect, to Fencer for all he has done and continues to do. He, and Liquid, devote a great deal of energy to this site and any real returns are still future speculation. I could have gotten along just fine without paying. I paid to show my gratitude. What I do, and it works every time, is when that happens, I click on one of my "fav" buttons to get me back to the main screen. Then I click on a game, and after making my move, instead of clicking on "move and go to next game", I use "move and stay here". From this screen I click on the red numbers that show at the top of the page next to "main page", and that will take me to the next game. Could you please then upgrade my rating, as it should be? Or do you need to know my opponents rating as well at that time? - that would be 1666..
