What I dont understand is why the site is easily accessable to some but not others. For the past 9 days I have not had one single complaint about the site. I play here alot too! I have the site open for some times up to 10 hours (I dont play 10 hours consecutively but I do have the site open that long) I havent had one down time in the last 9 days. But I read that others are having great difficulty accessing the site. Has anyone else but me noticed that site access has improved immensely or is it just me here?

How can some people possibly manage to play at least 1000 games in one day on here beats me. I be lucky if can get on here & stay on long enough to play all my games each day.
Its sometimes so difficult to get on here at times & wonder why I bought membership at times.

In many many cultures, to resign before the end of a game shows true sportsmanship. The idea is that one recognizes their weakness honestly and honors his opponent by showing that they have been beaten soundly with no hope of winning. Resignation is often seen as a recognition of superior skill. In this age of multi-culturalism, we must think first before we qualify our opponents' actions.

Bernice. I have resigned a game many times when I knew I was going to lose. Not out of poor sportsman ship but to speed things along. Many players do that. He likly didnt mean to be rude at all. I don't see the need to complete a game especially a long game like 10x10 reversi if I know I have no chance of winning. I resign, say WTG gg or what ever and end the game to get on with other games or start new ones. I never ever thought it was considered poor sportsmanship like conduct

<Try to Delete Temporary Internet Files of IE by theai menu: Tools -> Internet Options. After that close all of IE window. If do not help, try to upgrade IE and FIX your windows by Windows Update.
Mainly use latest cumulative patch for IE. I recomend to use all critical patch from Windows Update.

Im not one for complaining about a win LOL...lets face it i dont win too many.

well I don't know what to say.....
I haven't been ablt to access this site since Tuesday afternoon australian time and it is now Friday evening :(
I have ONE game waiting and when i click on it it gives me their (my opponents turn).
I understand Fencer has been having problems as I emailed him direct and he so kindly explained it sort of.
It is hard for someone like me when your times is limited to catch up on games....today I have now been playing 4 hours to get thru backed up games.
I love this site and the people and would wish all the best to Fencer etc :)

If it matters, there is a limit for rooks which is 1000 started games at once. I know it would be very difficult to reach that limit, and i doubt it anyone ever has, but the limit is still there. I think 100 is a little too extreme to limit. If you are going to lower the limit, make it something a little more reasonable like 400 or 500.

i wouldnt like to see a limit on the amount of games we can play
uil i for one have many games if i was limited i would sit here twiddling my thumbs most of the time , alot of my opponents move at differnt times of the day so i would end up with no one to play

smuttylad, I didn't 'jump all over you', I sent you a polite message saying that this isn't a board to post a message doing nothing but slam IYT. The message you mention further down addresses the suggestion of limiting rooks game numbers.

I agree with BIG BAD WOLF - I wouldn't be happy with a limit to my started games. Nor, I think, would most of the players in the 'most active player' list.

Onderwerp: re: limit games
p257: why? many rooks (like myself) paid for the rook level because there is no limit - Fencer would be stuck with a lot of unhappy people wanting refunds of what they already paid!

One of the few things I really do not like about IYT is that they do limit you to 100 tournament games.

Damian, i have turned my refresh off totally...
just pressing F5 does the job! it really is something that we all can do without for now, and fencer is testing to see if it makes any difference.. if it doesn't then i am sure he will turn it on again for everyone :)
Just give fencer a chance to test things out please :)
Thank you

Onderwerp: Good Marketing Decision
the newest guys are the only ones who tend to try out the
few-seconds-refresh, thus leading to more frequent server overloads ...
(not of a good attractivity as we should be able to agree)

older guys feel no problems to do refreshing themselves ...
mine is set to quarter an hour btw, hardly ever triggered ...
I'm not for static moves-restrictions though ...
30 moves a day are a lot for a chess player, but for battleboats
it might seem nothing ... not easy to meet all interests ... ~*~

You DON'T want to make your new blood inflowing to your organization, uncomfortable. These are the guys you want to pamper. Undo that refresh decision for this group or die in the process, marketing-wise! You ALWAYS make the newest guy the MOST Comfortable

Normally you can go to your profile, and in the tournament area - check your "waiting" tournaments (which I see none for you)

I have had that happen to me also, and it was a bug that Fencer had to fix - guess we can wait for him to see your message and see what he has to say! :-)
