Subject: KM Learners Permit (checkers)
This is an invitational checker tournament for people who are just learning the game or do not yet have a very high skill level. It is a good opportunity to play the game and not get beat up. Please message me for an invite.

I don't see what could be fairer.

You made some good points and I agree about the SS# part. If you win at the race track over a certain amount there's an IRS guy there to grab some. But this seems to be different.

No if Joe Cheater buys 10 memberships to try to "dutch" a tournament then Brainking has 10 new paid members. Site benefits. Still not fair I agree.

Agreed LOL. But one positive is that the site will get more money.

Yes but obviously pawns can cheat for free in unlimited numbers. Paying members at least have to cough up some money to cheat when it comes to tournaments.

I am going to be starting a prize tournament with something like $25 to the winner..open to paying members only. There will be no limit on the number of nics they can purchase a membership for to get a crack at the $25. Fencer shouldn't mind that. :o)

This is not the first time Fencer has stepped in to stop that kind of thing before it got started. A lot of folks may not know but his vigilance has spared the site some very unsavory stuff. Our thanks.

Would 3 people from the same household (same address, same pc) be eligible to enter? Perhaps "one prize per household" should be a rule.

The KM Invitational Corner Checkers tournament starts in a week. Not many people know how to play so don't be afraid to give it a try. Message me for an invite.

I hope things improve Jason. Let us know when you can take new games since most of my tournaments are by invite.

Subject: Re: Here Is Why
It is less work to screen coming in but thanks for the tip. There is also the issue of one of our ladies who is trying to avoid someone so we don't want his name to appear on our tournament list even for the short time it takes me to get there. I will change my post to read "almost" all are invited so everyone can have a comfort zone. Thanks for your interest and help.

Subject: Re: Here Is Why
I should have said "almost everyone" is welcome because we still have a stalker that enters tournaments and either just sits there to drag it out, makes inflammatory remarks with his games, or uses multiple nics to fill up all the slots. We had one experience with him and that is enough. So if your are not him you are welcome.

That is right Harley. The KM would love to play other teams but in the tournaments we wind up playing ourselves which most of us would like to avoid. A series of one on one games with members of other fellowships can be arranged but you cant really call that a tournament. So we are waiting for Fencer to implement some official Fellowship challenges.

Tomorrow is the last day to sign up for this Super Bowl of checker tournaments. It's your chance to play the finest players on Brain King. Anyone can win but at the very least you stand to learn something about this great game.

Let me recommend a great checker discussion fellowship Club2000. We play no games but analyze checker games, strategies and check out websites. We are affiliated with no club so all levels and players are welcome to come and chat or just watch.
