If BK has a fault or weakness it is the inability to prevent Multi Nic's from being created by trouble makers.

When a new person shows up on General Chat they are scrutinized, ignored, mistreated and sometimes falsely accused of being someone else, all because of Multi Nic's.

I am sure some of us have at times offended innocent people just trying to make contact and develope friendships.

All of that has been caused by people like the one you pointed out. Sounds like Fencer resolved that pretty quickly.

Could guest players be prevented from doing anything but playing games? Is that a good idea? They could only post msg or send PM's after purchasing a memebership?

DANG, must Fencer now fear spending the rest of his life in a Czech Republic Jail?

I wonder if he can run BK from his jail cell?

HMMMMMMMMMM That lked easy.

Fencer: Since tournaments setup using the Fischer's clock time does not use vacation or weekend days, can we get a red "dot" next to those PLAYERS IN FELLOWSHIPS THAT ARE ON LINE?times in the tournament list also - as a "reminder" to us that they do not include weekends or vacations.

I've noticed at the top of the main screen each day the person with the most moves is praised and listed. Well since I have been noticed as the most frequent poster, should I ask Fencer to recognize me with equal "PRAISE?"

In the F/S where each memeber is listed, it would be "WODERFUL if the little green lights would display next to memebers that are on line at the moment!

Anytime decesions are made i'm sure whats considered is, "Whats best for the members as a whole"

in this incident, (spam messaging)is it best to try to reach everyone and try to inform or involve everyone by group messages when the only negative is to ask informed members or members that arent intrested to simply delete them.

Andersp:I beleive if they have failed it's because of misunderstandings between the BIG 3.

Fencer, Globs and Mods.

It is my understanding a move is underway to rewrite or to enforce existing rules across the board. I have heard rumors of that. I hope it's true. I'm sure everyone by now saw the post that was posted by a Mod earlier this week concerning the Mods thinking, that the Code of Honor was a joke.

I do not beleive that. I do not beleive MOST mods think that. I say give them time and see if there aren't "more" changes forth coming shortly.

Walter Montego:Yes, please, gravy on those potatoes.

I just fell into the trap of not considering what others were saying and being so dang sure I was correct. It will be a while before I make that mistake again. The one thing I have learned on BK is, there are a lot of intelligent people on here that deserve and need to be listened to.

I have just never considered cheating and assumed that no one else would either. I love learning the games and improving and developing new skills. What you, Jules and Pedro said makes a lot of sense. I was JUST thinking of the DICE ODDS. My Bad.

Subject: Re:a REAL good backgammon program can help a lot, especially not so experienced players.
Jules: all based on the odds of what your opponent "MIGHT" roll on his next turn. All good players figure that in their head Jules.

It is a way to get your money. I bet Pedro could beat any computer and so could anyone else that learn and play the odds.

Subject: Re:a REAL good backgammon program can help a lot, especially not so experienced players.
Pedro Martínez: Not since I told them the odds. It is an odds game! That same computer would also tell an inexperienced person how to roll craps. The trick is to learn the odds and learn the game. The guy with the computer will never learn, "IF" he indeed has one.

Lets look at what we know for fact.

There are no useful programs that can help in any dice game.

Fencer advised you to not to worry about it because he knows that for a fact.

Don't get upset over some clown claiming he has one because he doesn't.

If he does he probably needs one to get out of bed too.

This is a non issue.

Subject: Re:
philip:If he has one, it's because he failed 9th grade Math. You dont need one. Your better players dont use them. They know the odds from books, the internet, or just common knowledge. They use the odds in making their moves. Copy what I just sent you and use it. That isn't cheating. it's knowing the odds of an opponent landing on you if you move your piece in any location on the board.
