Merhaba !

Bundan sonra BrainKing.com'un türkçe olarak da tadını çıkarabileceğiz. :-) Tartıºma komitemiz herkese açık olup, her türlü seviyeli sohbeti yapabilmemizi umud ederim... :-)

Hatırlamamız gereken 2 önemli nokta var;

1- Bu tartışma komitesinin tr uzantısı bu sayfanın gerçekte var olduğu anlamına gelmemektedir.
2- Tr uzantısı Türkiye'yi değil, Türkçe konuşan herkesi ifade etmektedir.

Subject: Turkish Checkers RULES
We have a good game here - Turkish Checkers. How popular is it in the world? Has this game an official website in English?
I played 2 games and I didn´t notice something wrong. But I see now that some rules are wrong on BrainKing.
From http://brainrook.com/archives/65-Turkish-Checkers.html I see the following differences:
1. Maximum capture is mandatory
2. DAMA (king) has no priority over pawns for the maximum capture rule.
Is it all? More mistakes?
I want to support my Turkish friends and I don´t begin to play new games with wrong rules, although this site is more amusing than sporting.

Thank you very much for your support Jaak. These two mistakes are the most important ones because, to make a game, depends on these rules. I can not say that all others were implemented in a right way. It is better to test them when we obtain similar positions during games.

Currently there is no official web site for Turkish Checkers. There is a preperation to become a federation and an official site. Most of the grand masters from Turkey, plays Turkish Checkers on ludoteka.com.

But there is an official International Tournament in Turkey. The last one (8th International Turkish Draughts Tournament) was on 17-18-19 August (yes yesterday :) ) in MKemalPasa Bursa Turkey. Masters from all cities of Turkey and masters from Quwait and Lebanon played with each others. Next year most of the games will be available for real time watching through the internet.
