Subject: Haikus

Does anyone write any? I write millions of them! Here is an example:

たいとした 素晴しいこと 夢を見る (Transliteration: taito shita / subarashii koto / yume wo miru; English: I saw a dragon in it's flight / It is a wonderful thing / To dream)

*Note: I couldn't type the original character for it. It is not supported by Unicode, or at least by my computer.

Another example:

あの人と もう合わないな… あら?光? (Transliteration: ano hito to / mou awanai na... / ara? hikari?; English: With that person / I will never meet again... / Eh? Light?)

瀬人様: I too, love Haiku... I believe it was
John Barrymore ( actor, wittisist d. 1946), who said once at a very fancy gala in the 30's, 'If you cannot say it in 10 words or less, you've said too much'..One that I wrote after realizing something I'd of rather not:
" Love can break
Any Habit.....
but Lust"

Ditty^Doo: No offence, but haikus are supposed to be poems of three lines consisting of 5-7-5 syllables, speaking about nature in an allegoric-philosophoc way. (I know, what I wrote cannot really be seen as a haiku, but that was before I understood what haikus are all about. Nowadays, I write my haikus completely different, and mainly in Hebrew.)
