mctrivia: Have a look a the top of your friends list, you'll see a drop down box with all your friends listed, and 'change description' next to it. You can add notes about them there which then appears on the list, so you could put their real name, and if they ever change their username you'll still know who they are!

So everyone who is cloaked can't see what I'm doing? Even though I'm not cloaked?

Ah I see, you want a box saying 'established ratings only'. Sorry, I didn't read it correctly.

reza, when you create a new game for the waiting room, there is a tick box that says 'include unrated players'. If you untick that, wouldn't it give you that result? Unless I misunderstood you, blinded by a great story!

Hi Lamby, nice to see you back!
And to stay on topic I request a welcome back party for Lamby! No? ok, I know...

I always played not having to take a piece, and no pieces were forfeited either. If there are two kings left on one side, and one on the other, the two kings force the single king back against a side until they have nowhere left to move except into a position where the opponent can take them.
If the players have one king each, its a draw.

They wouldn't be required to leave a message. Just like when a person leaves a fellowship, they're quite entitled to leave the box blank.
I'd like the option to leave a message for people I remove from HOME. I do this with pawns who haven't been on the site for a few months. I'd like to leave them a message to say if they ever came back, they could re-join.

I'd like a search box for Big Bosses to find members in fellowships. So if we wanted to make someone a manager we wouldn't have to scroll through lists of members looking for the right person. As more members join BK, fellowships are getting bigger.

He did, Summertop. But I do think this could be a good thing. When my daughter first joined she wanted to play other kids, but didn't have a clue how to find people her age here. I wouldn't let her post on general chat to ask so she had to play adults. She didn't mind too much but was delighted when other kids started to post and I let her talk to them.

I thought my ears were burning!

I can see both sides, but overall, I'd say a kids board would be a good idea. Without going into detail, there are many chat rooms on the net where certain types of people prefer to prey. I doubt a games site where the huge majority are adults would be much interest to them. Especially once they realise how heavily moderated it would be. A bigger concern is private messages, I like Scarlets idea of needing parental permission before an adult can message a child - and also parents should have to give permission before their kids can message adults. I'm not sure how easy that would be to set up though.

Summertop: I need to apologise to you. I didn't see the last line of this post of yours..

"Ah, I get it. Just look at the list of players. If there is a pawn, just bid one more. That goes on until the pawn FINALLY drops into the pond. But, in theory, doing that would force the pawn to drop in the pond the very next round...What would be nice, then, is a way to resign from a ponds game"
It just looked like a normal discussion about ponds, I missed the request at the end. I'm sorry.

As far as I know the usual mods hadn't seen the continuation of that discussion.

I'm already saying not just you. I said it in my last post. Its only you making a problem out of it and I won't discuss it any further. Any more off topic posts and I will hide you. Thank you.

"participating in a conversation" - that would mean more than just you, unless you were talking to yourself. I was requesting the convo about ponds be taken to the appropriate board. To everyone. Not just you.

Summertop, if you remove someone from your fellowship, they are automatically removed from teams too. But you can't take them out of teams and leave them in the fellowship.

Hrqls, when you look at 'friends', do you have a box saying 'change description' then a drop down box with your friends listed? If so, you could add your regular opponents there and put notes about their game play. I'm not sure if this feature is available to pawns.

Ha ha, it only works up to 100! :oP
But I find 100 per page is usually enough to avoid having to go to page 2!

No, we don't need to, just if we want to. Like we get the option to send a message with a request to join a fellowship. We don't have to, but its nice to have the option.

15. October 2004, 23:15:05

Now big bosses receive a message when we leave a fellowship, could we have a small text box to send a message as we leave? It would be nice to be able to send a small explanation about why we left.

Subject: Re: IM
No, IM. It isn't the conversation I want you to have. Maybe a little restraint would be better instead of suggesting that the minor would be at fault if you hit on her. I mean lets face it, you might not only be chatting up a minor, but it could be another male, or an aged lady (or man) having a joke with you. It could be anybody. All I'm suggesting is that you save your chat up lines (and who could resist those) until you know the person a LOT better than, "how old are you".... "20"... "gee you're cute"...
see what I mean?

What kind of age group are you talking about, IM? I think even teenagers - if they try to tell you they are older than their actual age that you would sooner or later catch on and realise they aren't as old as they say.

IM, I suggested this once - slightly different reasons though! But I had it quite rightly pointed out to me that any kind of marker would also be a magnet for people who had less than honourable reasons for wanting to know who the minors are. I didn't think of it that way until it was pointed out, but its obvious really.
I think it is down to parents to supervise their kids anywhere on the net.
I would suggest that maybe you shouldn't flirt until you've talked to a person for a while? If they are pretending to be older than they actually are, it should become clear after a bit of conversation.

Fencer, cool new(? I hope!) feature on the bar at the top with how many game moves we have. I like the way it counts down.
Is it possible to have a similar counter with how many moves we make in a day? So it counts up when we hit 'move' and resets itself at midnight?
