Our family came through Frances pretty much unscathed.

The only damage we received was to our shed door (ripped cleanly off and deposited in front of the same shed it came from.....just flipped around) and some minor damage to our front porch.

We are lucky considering the misfortune that Frances has left to others in the same county.

While I was at work, power got restored and, thus, I am able to type this message to everyone.

Hope Backoff and Floosy return home soon and hope theirs was spared Frances' little sojourn.

Finally made landfall near Stuart, Backoff and Floosie....but, it's still creeping along.

I've been getting High Wind Advisories on the radio ever since it made landfall. They are expecting gusts of close to 80mph up in my neck of the woods.....the southern half of the county is supposed to be getting worst end of it.

Even worse, by 8am, it's expected to still be in the southern part of Central Florida and not expected to clear out of the peninsula area until 8pm.

This storm has certainly worn out its welcome......as if it didn't wear it out before coming here.

Path at the moment is predicted to be in the southern part of Central Florida. I'll be in the area most like to feel a good chunk of that wind. The path is shown to be near Malabar and the county line area to the south.

Go away, Frances!!!

Just when we thought we had enough problems dealing with Charley's mess........here comes this pest.

The west coast looks in the clear at the moment.....but, the East coast is under the gun......and I live on the inland part of the East Coast of Florida.
