Profile Igra4ka a pawn for a long time but continued to record in tournaments!
Is it fair to all / pawns / players online and how long will injustice continue?

Emerald00671: As the tournament starts, the system checks to see the status of the player & should kick him out of the tournament since he will not have enough free game slots left.

Since he signed up for the tournament while he was a member, it will still show him in there - in case he does get a membership before the tournament starts, it will still start as normal.

One of the "bonus" of being a member is you can continue to play in all games/tournaments already started when your membership goes away, but NEW tournaments should not start.

coan.net: except single elimination seems to be an exception to the rule, and i'm guessing this is why we have a million of the same type of tourney set up in the tourney sections!

furbster: Have they just recently downgraded to a pawn, or have they been a pawn for awhile?

coan.net: For a while, although obvisouly the tourneys are set up before they expire! It seems to be just single elimination which they can still play in though.

Emerald00671:

that's the same thing that AlterMann did before he became a pawn he created 365 tournaments !! Now the tourney section is a joke,  you cannot find any tournaments and they stay on the list for 30 days after they start.  This way they never have to buy a membership don't really think its fair to those that do

There may be a bug then. I know in regular tournaments it will kick them out, but single elimination tournaments were created after the "normal" tournament, so possible that pawn/free game "check" isn't there.

I know Fencer hasn't been in the programming "mood" lately, but I'll make sure he know about this bug, maybe there will be a quick fix that he can make.

coan.net:  lol I spoke to fencer months ago when I noticed the problem, and ask if he could fix it,  He told me he would try but that he was very busy with other things.  Nothing ever got done so I gave up asking

Actually you can find new tournaments still, you just have to be a bit more creative in your search terms than before.

Every day when I log in (when I remember anyway!) I now visit the tournament page, and then modify the "Created in last" to 2 days (I am not sure what it means by 1 day or 2 days...is it the last 24 hours for a day, or the last Czech time zone day. Therefore I pick 2 days).

The list is usually(!) very short, and I never have to scroll to see what else is out there....
