Backgammon - I created 9 new games, with me playing as white in all of them. Why do I not move first (or second) in all of them? as i'm playing the same colour.

Pedro Martínez: but "english" means St George and the flag (being English of course). The union jack represents England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland (i think?).

It's weird that when football is concerned, England (the english) are represented by the red cross, but generally the language is represented by the union jack? Does anyone know exactly why?

ughaibu: I agree, are Team USA Fellowship or England Thru and Thru racist?

The server news has simply highlighted the tournament that will bring much needed revenue to the site, which I am sure is appreciated. As the Server News says, it's design and layout is upto the creator of it. If they want it for Czech people only, well so be it.

ah, right i see - it must default to alternate colo(u)rs if you pick more than a 2 game match 0- so I'd say you cant then...?

select a 10 game match when you are setting the times and colour. dont select alternate colours...

Czuch - Good idea re moderators/Global Mods. However, GC is the only board I actually moderate. Just because I have the facility to use on other boards doesnt mean I use it and step on the toes of the boards current moderators. In fact, I've only used it once - on this board actually - and left any further action to Harley/Not a Floosie as the boards moderators. I just happened to be online and was able to hide some posts whilst the moderators for this board were not online.

If this was the case, and the Global Mods started getting involved with banning etc - would this be seen to be stepping on the toes of the boards moderators?

My opinion is that if there are any new moderators they should just be added to the moderator list.

Do you have anyone in mind Czuch? Who you think may be worth considering/is interested in giving it a go?

BWild - If I could afford it i'd go Marajah (or however you spell it!!) or even invest on this site - but I cant so I just make sure i keep my Rook going.... Are you not due a further upgrade???? lol

MiseryMidnight - get your dollars out and get a Rook membership then lol - you dont know what you are missing as a pawn with the team tournaments/fellowships etc....

I dont think it will last too long - people will quickly run out of points as they put more in the pond to avoid being the person(s) with the fewest.

Fencer - assuming they dont use any "memory" probably not. Justwondered really as there are loads that have logged on once, joined, not played any games then never come back again. Doesnt give a true "registered users" figure. What do you think?

Player List - have you thought of deleting all the people who have signed up then never re-visited? - some of them going back over a year or two.

Is there any reason why you keep them on the database?

22. November 2004, 20:49:21
Bry
Mamba - either pay for membership and contribute to a better, more stable games site here (which is what you are moaning about) - or go and play elsewhere. Simple. Like it or lump it. No-one is making you play here (for free).
