I think this is a glitch in the software: I must be entered the tournament right at the moment when it transitioned from open to running.

Aganju: If you look at his tournament page it shows that he is enrolled in the tournament though. Since he is a brain pawn it means he can't play any more tournaments until that one is over or until he buys a membership.

If you want to play a game with an opponent of a similar level, you can define a required BKR range for a new game invitation. Then nobody with a BKR outside this range will be able to see/accept it. (Katechka)
