Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Winter has arrived with forcefull winds,snow and rain yesterday.We had some schools close,and at the Syracuse,NY airport a plane went off the runway.More snow on it;s way today.

Anyone still got a garden? Were knee deep in snow and more coming.

Yes but with no leaves on anything. We are supposed to get snow here before weekend.

Foxy Lady: Everything we had froze with the recent ice storm. I am so looking forward to spring and planting time.

Dolittle: and opposite to you all our stuff burnt :( with the extreme sun.

I have a herb garden that is over grown with weeds and Im too frightened to weed it in case I lose everything, which is sad because I cant see where any of the herb are LOL

Were getting our crazy Central NY weather were in a deep freeze all week.Next week were in for a Spring like week,were suppose to go in the 50's .Now that's sick weather with the change of temps so drastic.

we are under water here......it has been raining for 4 days solid and there doesnt appear to be anylet up ROFL....we are flooded in...here is a link for you...this is ex tropical cyclone "Helen" venting her spleen at us ROFL....sorry bout the link , if someone can fix it for me.....

Foxy Lady:well it has stopped raining for the moment but (the street not the house) the place is under 2 foot of water...no work for me tomorrow, so will have to just sit around and do nothing I guess.

Foxy Lady: we have been declared "natural disaster area" and the govt. has offered money to people who are in need of help...Im not, but am unable to go to work, and even tho the rain has stopped for the moment, they have told us we are to expect more torrential rain. all very unnerving :(

Bernice:Your lucky to be on higher ground.We had some flooding in a few small towns due to our crazy warm weather we got.Now were to a normal for January.

The fishing season has,nt started yet. They are trying to make it an all year thing though. Trout fishing is all year but very expensive unless you know where to go.

Mousetrap: My husband and his brother love to go ice fishing.Not me i'm afraid the ice would give,i don't like cold water.

Foxy Lady: Yes the water has gone down thankfully, but now we are inundated with darned mosquitos....they are so big you could put a saddle on them and ride them in the Kentuckey Derby HAHAHA......but we had a vicious storm here last night :(

I sure hope he sees his shadow,we've had enough of Winter.Right now were getting freezing rain with snow.

What's everybodys weather doing? Were getting snow and it's calling for freezing rain today.

well for the 2nd time in a week we are flooded out....I have never seen rain like it.

My new kitchen goes in this coming monday so I hope it isnt too wet....dont need muddy boots thru my home :(

Foxy Lady: well the rain HAD subsided, but.....
about 3 hours sth of us got 25 inches of rain in 12 hours...because of the southerly prevailing winds it has turned tail and we are expected to get it over the next 12-18 hours....the floods just go down and up they come again....we have had so much rain that instead of it all soaking away, the water just keeps rising....no kitchen on monday the man said if this rain keeps up :(....oh well no work either so will be able to just sit and relax hahaha

Bernice: Don't ya hate it when your plans fall thru.Well take the time and relax.

Anybody got warm weather? I'm sick of Snow,Snow and freezing temps.

it is only about 32degC today here = 90degF...humidity about 70% and damned unpleasant LOL

Bernice: LOL were about 24 F but going to 49 F tomorrow.

Foxy Lady: Blooming freezing here!

Mousetrap: We got so much snow this year.I'm getting Cabin Fever.

Foxy Lady: It's in the mid 20's Celcius here and quite mild, just finished picking our pears & peaches. Mind you not looking forward to winter.
