TexasToest: This is our first time playing out (this music) but we've been playing in the worship band at church for many years. Our little group has been together about 1 year trying to get organized. ;)

It's so great when one of our members shares with us.  And, you're putting up some really fine music.  How long have you guys been playin together?

Tigger: Oh ROCK ON DAN thanks for sharing those with us..I'm really loving your songs...your playing just gets better and better...that vocalist is really good- such a beautiful pure voice..loved it!

Jim Dandy: It takes a bit of getting used to all the pedals. In one song the "drummer" quit early.

Eriisa: as it got dark it got cooler. It was cold for those just sitting. I was working it ;)

Tigger: and just how cold was it? You all look like you have light weight clothes on, and they seem to have brought out a heater.

Tigger: It has a very authentic warm sound,I'd go nuts playing with a drum machine

Jim Dandy: I tried a number of things for the percussion and could come close but then realized there are 4 measures in the Jack Jackson version where it's just the percussion. I recorded that 4 measures, and ran it through my looper. So whoever was playing the percussion on the original is the one playing wiht us. ;) There's lots of things one can do with the JamMan! I love that thing.

I have a few other songs I'll post as they get ready. In one there is a complete drum accompanyment. It's my drum machine. I just have to push the buttons at the right time. ;)

Tigger: That's excellent.Who is playing the percussion? when it kicked off I thought you were going to play "Sympathy for the Devil"

Tuesday:  Possibly.  I'd rather he go free than be wrongly convicted and incarcerated.  Just for the record, I have no opinion in his case - I don't know enough about it.  But, thanks for the update.

Jim Dandy:  OK, convince me.  I'm not a big fan of the dance genre, so maybe I've shut him out, because of that.  I got limited lyrics, and Michael Jackson affectations.  Tear me up.

Jim Dandy:  The mistake was going into the store part.  We could just go in and have a Margarita and leave.  But, you might want to bring a basket to put me in afterwards, because nowadays, a shot of Tequila would put me in lala land.

I don't doubt his stuff is expensive.  And, in Vegas, there are a lot of better things to spend money on.  As far as the Hawaiian shirt is concerned.....I just don't see you in one anyway.

TexasToest: I've visited the store portion (a few times) of his bar at the Flamingo hotel in Vegas.I just can't make the leap to becoming another fat guy walking around wearing a colorful bermuda shirt,he knows how to charge too

Tigger:  Awwww, you did great!!  Good to see you out there doing something with your music.  God loves to hear His children sing.

rod03801:  You're right, that's about his most famous song.  I knew all the words, did you?  I had an experience with Margaritas in Puerto Vallarta in 1984 that's pretty outrageous.  I was really disappointed I left my earcuff with the Pakistani star and crescent somewhere at the fiesta or in the cab on the way back to the hotel.  No telling what I left that I just don't remember.   I do know I was commode hugging most of the night after we got back to the hotel.  It was the night I scared my friend to death when I crawled under a bus to get our tickets I'd dropped.  Somehow, I assumed the bus driver understood me when I said, "Just a second."  And, that was before the Margaritas.  I don't drink much anymore.  Aren't you glad?

Jim Dandy:  Jimmy Buffet owns a chain of  bars called Margaritaville Caribbean.  We should all meet down there some time, and check it out.  Then, we could all be in heaven.

Jim Dandy: totally. I didn't think of it at the time. The hat is a Tommy Emmanuel hat and the shirt is full of different guitars. A present and I felt inclined to wear it. :)
