Ok, see if somebody can give me some sound advice, seeing as i cant get into to see a doctor for 7 days. I am curently going through the menopause, which is absolutely horrible, really hate it, but not sure if what i am about to write or should i say type here, is connected or not.

I am constantly feeling sick especially after eating, only seem to be able to take a small amount of food, and start to feel nauseas i cant eat anymore but it feels like i have just eaten a 3 course meal. I have been prescribed Stemetil 10 days ago, but this was for the sickness feeling from the menopause.

nobleheart: Thank u so much for that. I am going through premature menopause, my doctor says i am at the peak of it and have probably been going through it for the last few years. I wouldnt wish this on my enemy, but i do understand that many women can go through the menopause with no ill effects at all.

Welcome to Cancer Answers
Cancer is caused by DNA damage that results in mutated genes that begin to encode for certain proteins that control cell division. Damage to DNA in this manner is caused by exposure to carcinogens that are physical or chemical agents.

Cancer treatments are becoming more specialized and specific for the type of cancer pathology as research develops. Basically, though, there are three main types of cancer treatment: radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery.

Until the 19th century cancer treatment was based primarily upon the humor theory of four bodily fluids: phlegm, blood, black and yellow bile. Depending on the patient's humor, cancer treatment was comprised of blood-letting, diet and sometimes laxatives.

Throughout the 16th and 17th centuries doctors were dissecting more bodies for research purposes. Various doctors had striking theories and explanations as to the cause of cancer. Some thought that cancer was a poison and a contagious disease. Wilhelm Fabry thought that breast cancer was caused by mammary glands that had become clogged.

When the microscope was invented and more widely used it was discovered that cancer travels through the lymph system to infect other portions of the body. Though surgical treatment became more common, the results were not that great because of poor hygiene and non-sterile conditions.

When hygiene was improved during the 18th century, the overall surgical treatment statistics improved greatly. In the 19th century Marie Curie discovered radiation and in doing so found the first non-surgical and effective treatment of cancer. Radiation therapy has gone on to provide some of the most promising cancer treatment known to date. As radiation therapy evolves, we're seeing an increase in the accuracy of radiation therapy, including micro-level treatment of various types of cancer.

We hope you find the Cancer information you're looking for on this website, and we wish you the best!

Has been helping my 5 month old daughter...not a cure, have our chucky days but they are few and far between.
In Australia, the product I use is Guarcol and can be bought in the supermarket or at the chemist/pharmacy.

Hi...

I have candle wax on my countertop in the kitchen... How can I get this off without scraping it (and the countertop)???

Any suggestions?

rednaz23: What about somehow heating it back up? Like using a blow dryer?

Just a thought.

I had some on a rug once, and was told to use an iron with a paper bag between the iron and the rug.. But not sure how well that would work on a counter. But I imagine some form of heating the wax back up, would help.

rednaz23:Candle Wax (on Kitchen Cabinets) Wrap an ice cube in a cotton cloth of plastic and rub it over the wax until it hardens. Then flick off as much as you can with a plastic spatula. After removing the wax, dissolve remaining residue by applying furniture cleaner (not polish) with a soft cloth and buffing the area with a dry cotton cloth. If some waxy residue still remains, repeat applications of furniture cleaner as noted above until it's gone.
