Assunto: Optional Autopass ?

Is it possible to make Autopass to be something would be done based upon a user setting ?
In other words, a user would have to OPT-IN in order to have autopass work, and by default new users would be opted-out.

In that way, it is a bit of a compromise with Fencer's position and those who would rather have autopass.

Just a thought,
