MadMonkey: Hey, take it easy man! It's just games, nothing serious, huh?

Furthermore, there was no downtime of the site itself and I saw about 100 online users all the time (today). Unfortunately we cannot be responsible for a DNS servers malfunction which caused a temporary non-existence of brainking.com domain in several parts of world. However, it was resolved in 3 or 4 hours, so it was really not a big issue.

Anyway, in case it happens again (which should not), try to use 81.91.83.6 instead of brainking.com. IP address should always work.

I also couldn’t access this site for an hour or two this morning. Perhaps it only affected certain locations? The 3 of us reporting this are all from England.

well, i have a question ?

I could not get on here today as i kept getting site not available (for just over an hour) !!

Once it got to 9.45 i had to go to a funeral, now i get back rom the funeral and there is no sign of anything being wrong, yet of course i have timed out on lots of games.

I can not beleive i have been the only one with problems.....all oother sites were fine, including brainking.info etc...

Not happy !!

nodnarbo: You can easily tell yourself. The current time should be within the interval shown when you hover the mouse pointer over the light bulb. If that is the case, the time is displayed in your time zone, and if not, it's the BK time (unless you're in the same time zone as Prague, of course). :)

One of the achievment awards is a black rook (if you gain all the bonus colour codes). I was just wondering if a black rook 'achieves' this, do they get to donate their black rook to another user?

Assunto: Alert Pay
I used to pay by PayPal all the time. It was fast and easy. So, to test this Alert Pay, I set up an account (took less than ten minutes, picked a pawn from the registry, and sponsored him to see how quickly the transaction would take. It took about 30 seconds. I just checked and he's a bishop. so....IMO, Alert Pay is just as easy as PayPal. Maybe easier. It doesn't work as easily with bank transfer of funds (due to transfer fees) but they take credit cards, money orders (no fee) and checks (no fee). Looks like a good alternative to Paypal.

Fencer: Well, what I mean is that people can book money straight to your bankaccount. As far as I can see it's now only possible by using another company, and often you pay (extra) money for that, but not always.
I see 3 ways to pay money:
1. Wire transfer - only possible for people living in the Czech Republic.
2. MoneyBookers
3. Alertpay-account or creditcard

Now you can add a 4th way of payment: straight from my bank to your bankaccount and doing by myself. You can do it online and totally free in the EU.
The only extra thing is that people have to know the IBAN code and SWIFT code of your bank, but you can add that in the description how to pay.

In this way you use no companies that can freeze your account, people must add their nickname, but they have to do that now too. Maybe you want a separate bankaccount for this payments, that's why I said to open an extra bankaccount, but that's up to you ofcourse and probably not necessary if you have already several as you say.

If you want to try it send me a message

Stingette: Why should it be a "challenge"? Since I opened an AlertPay account, I accepted almost 500 payments and nobody ever complained about any problems or complications.
I cannot bring back PayPal because, unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst option for merchants (although it might look like the best option for customers). There is no point to accept payments if they can freeze your account anytime and for any reason. Which means, you would be able to pay but I won't be able to get the real money.

Yes, I heard more people complaining about it But as we know/read is Paypal not an option.
Not myself, I paid already in advance I paid a few weeks ago for an English member here and used my creditcard, no problem at all
But not everyone like creditcards or owns one.
Maybe it's an idea for Fencer to open a (separate or extra?) bankaccount?? I guess it's today very easy for everybody to send money online from your own bankaccount to another one anywhere in the world. I think it solves this problem for many people, or do I overlook something?

I don't mean to whine, but please bring back Paypal!

I found it more convenient and easier to access when renewing or buying a BK membership. I won't be able to renew my current Rook membership as I've discovered the other methods of payment you've listed proves a challenge for me to use. It's disappointing that you won't accept Paypal on BK anymore.

Does anyone else feel the same about this subject/issue?
