Yeah, but he's a banned scum bucket.

Sorry Pedro, I realise you only posted it to show people the type of messages this person is sending, but words and phrases like that shouldn't be on here.

Sujet: Interview with...
....................BAD BISHOP!!

Send me your questions for BadBishop! Hurry up, time is running out! See your question among the others and lets get another interesting interview!

LOL things take time, Slam :oD

Yes, Scarlet, bwild is in the process of answering his questions. And BBW's is done, and should appear on BK.info soon :o)

That reminds me...!!

Interview with... Bad Bishop!

Send me your questions! Ever wondered what colour his favourite pair of socks are? Do you think he may know the meaning of the universe? Ask him by sending me the question to include in the interview!!

harley
Thats right, Crissie. If he moves into a losing position, you have to do another move to end it properly - in this case move one of your pawns away, then back again. I don't think your opponent will mind me saying that since he's lost anyway!

6. Novembre 2004, 14:56:48

Typical, no reply for hours then two come along at once ;oD

Thanks for the explanation!

Whats the difference between a relative URL, and an absolute URL? For all us dumb folk who don't speak computer ;oD
In other words, what do we need to type for it to be a link? Just the www.?

4. Novembre 2004, 21:35:28
harley
Maybe you should ask that on the Halma board, Purple :o) (My answer would be that they've got fed up, or both played well and decided on a draw?!)

4. Novembre 2004, 21:11:05
harley
I think the (=1) would mean you have one drawn game with this player? I'm not certain though :o)

4. Novembre 2004, 17:01:37

Bluefin, its just personal choice. You don't have to have a flag.
If its JUST on the game board, but they display a flag elsewhere, it would be your browser not reading it? Try right clicking where the flag should be, and click 'show picture'.

I know Jason. I was apologising for editing posts from both of you.

Thank you.

Bry, people would go out of their way to get banned, just so they could post on a board for banned users! It seems to defeat the object?

Be nice Slam :o) He only made a suggestion.

Andersp, its not very often that we go SO off topic, and its not every day that I have to delete posts. Its unfortunate that its halloween, I've been out with children 'trick or treating' so I wasn't here like I usually would have been. We do our best to keep this board clean and on topic :o)

I'm deleting all off topics now, IM. Applied evenly I hope.

Sujet: Re: Question
Obviously Fencer can do anything on the site he likes! But moderators are able add and remove other mods, and as long as there are no problems on the board, Fencer doesn't object to us doing so.

29. Octobre 2004, 19:57:20
harley
Rose, there is hardly ever a problem on this board, and when there it its dealt with quickly. Those posts were only there an hour. But your suggestion was taken on board and I've already messaged NOT a floosie to get her opinion. Any decision will be made between us. Although we don't want to get into a 'too many cooks' scenario like on other boards.

'eiaur' has been banned from posting. All posts in response to his have been deleted too.

Sujet: Interview with.....
Bad Bishop!!!

Send me questions for the first golden rook member on BrainKing! I hardly know anything about this man, so am looking forward to adding my own questions! What better way to get to know somebody?!

Sujet: interviews
BBW, it depends.. if people ask that their questions be submitted for every interview, thats what I'll do. Then others are asked specifically for that person. There were rather a lot of anonymous questions for bwildman, maybe he makes the ladies too shy to speak!

About Purples post, maybe I was being over sensitive, but considering the tension between him and the person he posted about - I saw it as likely to cause offence. I apologise if it wasn't intended that way.

27. Octobre 2004, 20:41:41
harley
LOL quite a few people ask to remain anonymous, its surprising how many shy people there are!

27. Octobre 2004, 02:10:09
harley
Well, not always! It depends how busy Fencer is as to how quickly it appears at the bk.info site, and how quickly people answer the questions! I don't think its a good idea to rush the answers, because you always think later that 'such a reply' would have been better!
I think this is the first time we've had 3 interviews in the pipeline! Partly because BBW answered questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, and partly because Fencer has been busy with the new graphs and ratings. But we get there in the end :oD

27. Octobre 2004, 01:27:45
harley
I'll be sending bwildman his questions tomorrow, then he has to reply to them all (its best not to rush that!) and send them back. They will appear on the BrainKing.info site shortly.
BBW's interview should be there soon too :o)

Sujet: Interview with....
... bwildman is now closed for questions! (A little later than planned, apologies for that.)

The next person to be interviewed is the very first GOLDEN ROOK....... Bad Bishop!!!!

As usual, any questions you would like to ask Bad Bishop, send them to me, adding if you would like your name attached to the question.

Thad, either purchase a rook membership in the usual way and Fencer will convert the remaining days of your knight membership into rook.
Or, contact Fencer to get an amount to pay to upgrade and change the amount when you go through the payment process.

25. Octobre 2004, 16:46:20
harley
How many games must you have completed before you get a graph for it?

24. Octobre 2004, 19:13:31
harley
Oh I see, sorry Stevie, I thought you meant generally hidden from everyone.

Grampa AD, I will not remove posts just because you happen to disagree with them, no matter how many private messages you send me. (Which, by the way, I can't reply to privately since you have me on enemies. If you insist on sending me messages like that, I'll have to place you on enemies too)

LongJohns post was controversial, but it is a point that has been raised before and I don't see that it is any different than other occasions where the pawn (and rook/knight) membership has been discussed. There is only one part of that post that I think could be found offensive which I will edit.

However, there are a lot of other posts which have been made in the last 2 days which I consider to have crossed the line. Its better to make your point without insults, then your post will have a chance of staying :o) I don't like editing posts but I will now to keep the peace of this board and to keep it on topic.

Stevie, there is nobody on hide as far as I can see. Nev Nake, thank you for editing your post.

IMupChucKing - please, this board is NOT for politics!!

24. Octobre 2004, 00:28:42

OK can we leave it there? a misunderstanding has led to a lot of off topic posts.
Thanks for editing, LJ.

23. Octobre 2004, 21:09:56
harley
This was just a misunderstanding that could maybe have been dealt with in a slightly better way. There is no need for insults - I think it would be a nice gesture if some of these posts were edited. (Preferably not by me!)

23. Octobre 2004, 00:57:51
harley
I think it was mentioned, Stevie.
Its not off topic here, Rod, I just thought you might be interested to read that if you hadn't already seen it!

23. Octobre 2004, 00:48:30
harley
rod, there has been a discussion about that on the tournaments board tonight.

22. Octobre 2004, 20:10:15

Not yet, pauloaguia. It should be done soon, I think Fencer has been too busy with the rating and graph things due to be implemented. And drining coffee. :o)

Sujet: Interview with...
bwildman.........

I'll be putting this interview together this weekend, so if you have any last minute questions for bwildman, please send them to me in the next 24 hours!!

21. Octobre 2004, 21:48:18
harley
Sure, I'm not debating the point. I'm just asking that its phrased nicely so as to avoid arguments.

21. Octobre 2004, 21:44:54

Can we keep this nice please :o)

If your status stays the same for 15(?) minutes - i.e. you are "browsing main page" for example, and do not go anywhere else on the site - it will take you off the 'who is online' list.

12. Octobre 2004, 19:48:07
harley
I have some better advice - stop goading each other, but if you really must, do it elsewhere! (Maybe your own fellowships would be agood place!) :oD

12. Octobre 2004, 18:54:06
harley
Tulip, if you have 'column' layout, it will be at the right hand side of your screen, next to the board (of the game you want to see the previous moves in).

If you are on 'row' layout, it will be underneath the game board.

Don't forget to send me your questions for bwildmans interview!!

*tick tock* time runs short!! Send me any question you would like to ask!

Yes you are, Stevie. Purple, please don't provoke people :o)

I won't delete your message, Grampa. I'll simply put you on hide until you delete it yourself. Bad language will not be tolerated from anybody.

11. Octobre 2004, 20:16:36
harley
Thats the way I have my main board arranged too. I can see at a glance how long is left on all my games. Thats more important to me than listing by game type or anything else :o)

11. Octobre 2004, 20:07:32
harley
It should happen as soon as you click the 'time left' button, MagicDragon.

Magic, doing that would affect the order of your games when you are playing them - when you click 'move and go to next game'.

To change the order they appear on your main page, click on 'time left' to adjust the whole list. And the small green arrow determins which order from there (ascending/descending). Hope that makes sense?
