In theory if you are +40 it is a win but I have seen Nemesis give a +40 and then take it away after the opponents next move. And this was after Nemesis recommendation was followed to the letter. 24. I think what Ed failed to realise is that programs are flawed, its just finding the weak spot in them. 6. The chances seem to be slightly increased in Pro Checkers but it is still very very daunting. I knew a grizzled old vetran named Richard Fortman who could pretty much hold his own against programs but he had like about 50 years experience. Nice, great old guy. 6. It reminds me of the Tinsley V Chinook match, when Tinsley worked out that the computer could "only" see 26 moves ahead in all variations (millions of moves). Wouldn't you like to pit your WCC against the top programs in the world? It would be a proud achievement to walk away as the best and give you some free promotion for your product. I certainly don't dispute you and Gil's dedication to this program but are you not interested in showing your skills face to face, either on a competive nature or otherwise. I will be in Vegas to view some of the play in August, we could have got together for a game.

I agree that more of the same is desirable.
