Sujet: Chopping things down news
Well the council had me on the list for the tidy garden thingamajig not that the garden was,nt tidy The other week they came round wanting to do the grass and chop things down. Seeing as the grass did not need cutting they decided to chop down the priviots and were about to start on the apple trees when I went down and asked if they knew what they were chopping down which of course they did,nt I manage to save the apple trees and told em to leave my other trees alone too Bet they thought "Interfearing ole bat"
Anyway they had started on next door,s grass(which did need doing) and said well we will cut the front for you. I had to point out that the front was not mine but seeing as they were looking to waste a morning on mine and could,nt they proceeded to do next door,s anyway(addmittedly it did look a lot better by the time they finish and they even sweeped some of the grass up )
I think they must be young lads doing community service for punishment or something as they are certainly not gardners Typical cheap labour.

The fishing season has,nt started yet. They are trying to make it an all year thing though. Trout fishing is all year but very expensive unless you know where to go.

Foxy Lady: No I,m not kidding, welcome to the UK lol! My mam has a hose pipe ban and she did,nt even get flooded, just lots of rain.
Its mostly the Council that come up with these rules. Even when our resoivoirs are full they still slap a hosepipe ban on some areas. Mosetly down south but they do nearly every year Manchester up north.
As for the flooding I guess there is not much they can do about it. Fortunately even though here we are surrounded by canals we don,t get flooded a lot.

to help with a garden project at the club. We are gonna have a BBQ, probably throw some astro turf down. A bench in honnor of a club member who died NYEve with her name on. A water feature and garden. The club had money donated to them by the girls parents and B&Q.
Just thought you would like to know(or maybe you did,nt really wanna know but tough you do now lol) that I got volunteered to help plan it.

Foxy Lady: My mam has some beautiful Lilac trees! I have some photos in a cardboard box of them. But there are lots of other photos in the cardboard box too lol! I threw loads of photos away when I was moving, I had bags and bags and I just spent a day going through them all that were not in albums and deciding if I would ever want to look at them again and if not I scrapped them. A shame but I just had too many. And I scrapped all that I though were bad photos too, either out of focus or something wrong with them.
Maybe I will look up me mam,s garden ones sometime and post them.

We are lucky if we get 3 months here for growing tomatoes or anything in the garden lol!
Its ok if you have a greenhouse then you get longer but I do not have one as I think someone would have a go at breaking in.
I did not even have a garden at the last place so I hit lucky when I moved here.

Sorry, I been so busy with the tournies on here I have not had time and not only that I am hungry and cold and if I went outside to sweep up I would probably freeze and starve to death then I would time out on all my games so I will have to leave the leaves for a bit!
