But how about the language board?

Fencer, will it be offered or not?

Miss Tessa: There is actually one board named Politics and Religion on Debate Club fellowship, but since access to it is not possible for everyone, I too think a public board for that purpose will be most appreciated. I second that.

I would like to ask for a discussion board named 'languages' on which people will be able to ask questions or just talk about different languages. For language curiouses such as myself, it'll be a very nice and profitable board. Now that we have BK in many languages, people might want to learn a bit of one, or just solve their problems with understanding something.

Thank you

alanback: The way it is now, you have the newest message on top, and as you move down, you hav ethe previous messages. So the line you read first is the answer to te line below it. Bt do you read a normal conversation from the end to the beginning?

So if the oldest message stands on top, and the newer ones go below it, instead of above it, when you read the whole message archive, you can easily follow the conversation as you read it from top to the bottom.

I'm not sure if I can fully express what I mean. Just take a look at a game of yours with a few lines of message, and you'll see it's hard to read the message archive from down to up!

Thanks to the very nice additions to the site, I'd like to see that the messages written in games, would be shown at the bottom of the page from down to up, meaning the first post is on top, then the reply and so on. This will be a lot easier to follow if after a few turns one wishes to go back through them. Thank you.

wouldn't you wish to know how I say this?

دوست داری با دوست من که دوست داره با دوست تو دوست بشه دوست بشی؟

It's a tounguee twister in Farsi and how would you read it if you have no idea how to?

Besides, when people use those strange Chinese or hebrew signs, I'd like to see how they actually read it. How big a written word really is!

That's just what I wish I could have here and use.

Fencer, I'd appreciate it if you could put phonetic symbols somewhere on the site too. When a thing is said in another language, I think it's most appreciated if it can be written using phonetic symbols so that people can understand how to read it. I think you can make 'icons' for them and put them in the smily's part or in another section.

I want to ask for an option that allows us to give others the permision to see our personal info such as birthdate, address and e-mail address. Not that we can have the ability to choose whom we want to be able to see them and whom we don't but that if we want ALL to see it or not.

I want others to be able to see my personal info.

Recently, I don't know what ha shappend to my five in line screens. The squares that have been marked by O's or X's lose their yellow color and turn white and besides, I canot se teh blue marks that show my opponent's last turn. If that's a recent change, i'd like to have an option so that i can turn it back to what it used to be like.

Thanks

Sujet: Re:Ratings and resetting
Rex Nihilo: That's because she ha sthe top ranking I think. I think any one of us is free to play or not. Right now, I have an amazon chess game with Umbro. He's unrated and I am the top rated player and my BKR is 2336. If I win, I'll not get even one singl epoint, but if I lose, I'll 44 points and he'll most probably get his BKR up to 2700. I hadn't noticed that before the 5th move or I'd have deleted the game. There's no joy in a game that way. What's more, his BKR in chess is almost 2400 while mine is 2245 I think. So it's very likely that he'll win. It was my mistake to asign the invitations for unrated players too. I think I used to suggest that in games related to chess, we can have this option to choose our opponents' ability in playing regular chess too.

For example, if I play screen chess with Mely whose BKR in chess is 2700, I'll lose even if my position is up to 2 points better than his. I think I should be able to decide my opponents like this:

With a BKR range of 1500 - 2100 in screen chess and 1700 - 2200 in regular chess for example.

Since I have recently noticed that there's teh limit of 65535 charecters on sending messages, I suggest that a counter be added to the site so that when we type, or copy-paste from other places, we can understand how much space we have left. I just lost almost half of one of my messages because I wasn't aware of the limit.

If that's easy to program of course.
