Sujet: "Started games with me only" in profile
When we visit a user's profile and select the "Finished games" tab we can limit the games displayed to only the games played with me.
Can we have that added to "Started games" too?

emmett: I think you, being a pawn, are limited to some HTML in your posts/messages. If I want to type red text, very much like bold or italic, I type

<font color=red>red here</font>

and I get

red here

If you do that, I think the result will be like my example with the < and > signs.

Sujet: Team Match page layout
modifié par hexkid (18. Octobre 2006, 13:16:57)
In a recent thread in the BrainKing.com board, MadMonkey said "Maybe [the team match page layout] could be set out different".

I suggest using italics / normal font to distinguish between finished or ongoing games :)
[EDIT] as can be seen in this screenshot.

Walter Montego: The RTE is a mechanism to type with the mouse :)

You need JavaScript enabled to view the link that opens it up.

I made three screenshots, just for you ...
a) No JavaScript
b) JavaScript on (update with some text in it)
c) The RTE ready for editing (update with with text in it)

Sujet: "Play later" and ...
modifié par hexkid (28. Août 2006, 22:30:40)
When viewing a game where it's our turn to play we have the option to "Play later". In the interest of completeness it could have a dropdown with the options available on the "Move" button when we're submitting a move.

[Play later] and * go to the main page
* stay here
* ...
* go to the next game with Fischer's clock

EDIT: LOL
[Play later] and * stay here

2006/04/13, 17:59:44 (Fencer) Portuguese Checkers are not implemented here yet.
2006/04/14, 10:40:30 (pauloaguia) does that mean they will be?
2006/04/14, 11:43:15 (Fencer) Sure, why not.

I found this description of Portuguese checkers (I can't fathom why they call them "spanish checkers" though) on the net :)

rewritten Feature Request: "invisible" games should also be unlisted.

And I don't think I'll use that feature more than a few times every 30 years :)

Sujet: invisible game
I'm trying to make a script for BrainKing, and for testing purposes I started a few games "invisible to other players". What I thought this would create was games that wouldn't show up on the list of games I'm playing, but it shows the games; it just doesn't show the moves.

Can we have "invisible moves", "unlisted game", and "game will be deleted from database when it's over" option when creating a game?

Sujet: Re:
WatfordFC: Every game has different percentages :)

Backgammon: 49.66 vs 50.27%
Ludo: 52.06 vs 47.67%
Five in Line: 57.05 vs 42.06%
Horde Chess: 69.60 vs 26.15%
Maharajah Chess: 29.84 vs 61.98%

So, I'd say colour doesn't matter for Backgammon or Ludo, White has a small advantage in Five in Line, and a big advantage in Horde Chess. Black has a big advantage in Maharajah Chess.

WatfordFC: Every game rules page has a little table at the beginning with the percentage of wins for White and Black. For instance, PahTum's percentages are:

white 11354 (54.58 %)
black 6559 (31.53 %)
Draws 2886 (13.87 %)

As you can see, apparently it's better to play with white in this game.

Sujet: Smileys FAQ
As I understand it, smileys are now visible to everybody, but the Smileys FAQ is not updated. I suggest the removal of the text "Smileys are visible for paying members only." from it.

Could smileys show the yellow thing with their number when the mouse passes on them?

(Yes! I have a greasemonkey script that does that )

KotDB: Do you use Firefox? With greasemonkey?

If so, you can use this greasemonkey script that replaces the smileys with their previous text representation.
Save the following in a file named "unfoistSmileys.user.js" and then open it in Firefox to install.

(function() {

unfoistSmileys();

function unfoistSmileys() {
var b = document.getElementsByTagName('body');
var r = /<img src="\/images\/smileys\/(\d+)\.gif">/g
b[0].innerHTML = b[0].innerHTML.replace(r, "*$1*");
}

})();

Sujet: move number in message archive
In a game, the message archive includes the time a message was sent. I think it'd be nice for it to also include the move number, as for example in:

player: (2006/05/06, 05:06:05; W10) message 2 ...
opponent: (2006/05/04, 03:02:01; B9) message 1 ...

Or, maybe even better, have some setting where each player could specify how to format and what to include in the message archive.

Sujet: Action when submitting a move
Instead of going to the main page when there are no games with an online player, the action [ Move ] and "go to next game with online player" could go to the next game.

Or maybe a new action could be added to do that:
[ Move ] and "go to next game with precedence for online player"

Sujet: Re: Go Games
Daniel Snyder: I very much agree with this.
Maybe the sequence could be that after two passes and the marking of dead stones, the other player has an option to remark differently (rather than reject) or accept and finish the game. In case of remark, the first player can now accept and the game is over, or, both players are forced to play a stone on their next move after which the game proceeds normally.

pauloaguia: I just had the same idea :)

Game notation could have one more option.
Instead of just "On" or "Off", I think having another option of "Last 5 moves" would be great.

Sujet: game notes
When you are finishing a move in a game, you have the option to add a note to that game; the background of the specific textarea is gray. When you want to add a note to a game through the link "Add a note" the textarea could have the same background.

Currently the running players list is ordered by the points left column. Would it be possible to make the column titles clickable and sort the list by the value of last move?

Is it possible to have an option to download a file in SGF file format for Go games?
