Gubbe: I'm assuming if it said they are creating a new account that that's exactly what they're doing. They are on the database as registered, but have not finished setting up their account yet.

On the Favourite boards list.. Is there any way it can be set up so that we can 'shuffle' them around as in put them alphabetically or favourite favs on the top of the list?
It sounds like a silly question I am sure.. it's just that my brainking.com board is at the bottom of my favourite lists but has the most interesting topics at times so since I have a huge amount of favs it is wayyy down my game sheets...

That is why they allowed it then. My roommate does not play at IYT anymore but plays here. I only play at IYT for battleboats and sabotage. When they get those games going here I wont play at IYT anymore. They raised prices and reduced the non paying members moves to 25 a day. There are not too many games you can get done with only 25 moves and if you want multiple games they will take way too long with that restriction.

YEs that is what we were told Gubbe. Let me ask you this and this could make a difference. Are either your wife or you a paid member of IYT? If one is then they will allow it. If not they look at it as you trying to play more games and get more moves by creating another account.

Really Blazin?..my wife and i are using the same computer both for IYT and here.

My roommate and I have two internet connections. She has a PC and I have a webtv in my bedroom. When her computer was in the shop she used my webtv and would play her IYT games on my webtv as well. So we both were using the same internet system to play at IYT. They sent her an e-mail that two accounts cant come from the same place and one of us would have to pay an upgrade on the site for both of us to use the same internet box. IYT would not allow for both accounts to play from the same place.

IYT did not have ratings because they feared people would cheat, and sure enough, people could probably set up multipls accoutns and play both sides of a game.... and I say....... so what?????

yes, it is disturbing and annoying, but that's just something that will happen qwith a ratings system. Over at Dweebo's stone games a player tried this very tactic, and in fact, he seems to create a new account for a new rating whenever his rating falls. but people know he is a phony.

People will know these players are phonies by reviewing their games won and lost. People kow who the real gamers are anyway. so if someone were creating multiple accoutns for ratings purposes

Keep in mind I know not all top players are this way about white so lets not get into that here please. i have played some top players and know they will go either way on the color.

To me 'registering a NEW account" means that he/she already has one, so then he/she has 2, easy to get a high rating then LOL

If you can have more than one account it would defeat the purpose of getting individuals to upgrade as they could create multiple accounts to play more games. I wonder what Fencer has to say about that.

There have been times recently that the site has been down to do some maintenance on the server. I think this is a good site to play games and have fun. However can I suggest a little warning when the site will be down for upgrades and such? This could be in the form of a mass e-mail to all members or post it on the main page like a day in advance so we know the site will be down and for roughly how long. Thanks.

to clarify what I meant,the idea was to invite a non-member to a specific game,of course via signing up.people get game site invites,but if the inviter knows a game that the invited person likes,it might be more alluring.just an idea...its up 2 u.I know u r busy. /8^}

Okay but if the invited person is not registered on BK, he must create his account first and then find the game invitation. Maybe what CleverHunk wants is to redirect this new user to the game invitation instead of the main page, right?

Fencer, the send invitation page offers the person an invite to the site, where CleverHunks idea would be inviting a person to a specific game, which might be more appealing!

I know fencer is working very hard to get the problems sorted & is exhausted right now.
