I do have automatic log-in, which sometimes gets me straight to the main page and other times not. I have a webtv. I never had this problem before, it started yesterday (Tuesday).

Which web browser do you use? I know that Opera users used to have this problem and the only workaround I've found for them was to disable cookies.

Does anyone else have log-out problems? When I try to log out, it just brings me back to the main page. I disconnected, then went back but the problem is still there.

So, if we 'act' on the site within 5 minutes of its going down, do we get put back automatically? Thus, all the 'browsers' get logged off.

Because their last actions are less than 5 minutes old.

When the site goes down (a Gateway problem) and I need to sign on again, how come there are already 65 players there ahead of me???

Only if you have auto-refresh on. If it is just sitting there with no pages being requested, it won't affect the server at all.

I just don't log out ... turn off the screen and go to bed, or to work, or wherever ... so there is at most times a brainking window available. Fencer - does this effect server performance ?

I never click on 'logout' but just close the window. That way I do not have to log in when I return.

I meant if someone just presses the cross to leave the site, and didn't actually log off. I've noticed people are still on my friends online list for a while after they have left the site, but they haven't logged off, if you see what I mean?! Or maybe they have left the window open, and just gone elsewhere.

No, after clicking on Logout link, the player is no longer displayed as on-line.

I think after you leave the site (without logging off) it stays as though you are online for a while, but then your name disappears from the online player list.
Its more likely people have BK open in a separate window while they are on other sites.

When I see a player is "on-line" and "browsing the main page", is it possible that they are not really here but just have not logged out? Just curious, as some players seem to be browsing the main page forever, without doing anything. Thanks for your time and help.

When Battleboats Plus is intruduced, you should get multiply hits per turn - hopefully it will be here soon!

Also, to see the last move - The "Game notation" is right next to the board for me and I can see which squares the last hit were - Which I really like because you can quickly see ALL the previous moves really quickly!

the site should show last move also, give us at least 3 hits a turn

Fencer - several of us have turned off the Refresh Button (or in my case, as I don't know how to turn it off, set it to 60 mins) in efforts to reduce the site activity.
Are there other things we do that take up a lot of capacity which perhaps we could cut down on?

I am playing a game of battleboats, and when i write a mesage it does not go to the top of the game,but to the bottom, yet my opponents is in the right place.. is this happening to anyone else?

Kitti & I have appologised to eachother for the misunderstanding ok...Obviously you dont understand, so me explaining to you AGAIN is pointless...if you want your question answering then READ my earlier post to you AGAIN...its self-explanatory....Oh & read the other posts supporting me too...How much more information do you need?

I thought I had the facts, based on the posts that you and kitti had made. I still do not understand why you could not play two games, one as eahc color, although I suppose a match would be simialr enough. Regardless, if you are a top player, you should win as either color against a weaker player.

Also, I still take issue with what you said, specifically:

Rose, we're not too many. There are a bit over five million people in Finland, most of them speak finnish. Other than that the finnish speakers are few and far between. If we're to discuss linguistics more i think we'd better move on to more appropriate forum :)

I offered a single game because some people dont want to play two games for some reason or another, which I have come across before. I OFFERED a 2 game MATCH also with the OFFER to delete the single game...How nice can I be actually be to someone?

I refused to play her on black as a SINGLE game due to the fact I can play black in a match! As pja and Badman said, I have lots to lose on a black game even if we draw the match I OFFERED INSTEAD! she would lose nothing! SO what do I do eh?? you tell me?? do I play her on a single black to which I have nothing to prove as Ive beaten many -2000 with my black, BUT RISK losing a lot of points in which Ive fought so HARD for in numerous awesome matches against the best players ever to play this game, such as Badman, PJA, and Slayer??

Or do I not invite anyone at all because of me FEARING slander of 'grabbing'...I will tell you something mate...If it wasnt for payers like Badman, Slayer, PJA & a few others, then I would have NEVER joined this site, which means you moaning lot would have SLOWER games due to lack of funding through less memberships!

And BELIEVE me..Spiderline4 is huge on IYT, with many awesome players & competions...more & more are slowly coming here, which is great...But if us top 5 players cannot get a game apart from eachother, then what do we do???

Oh by the way Dmitri...wouldnt a simple DECLINE button have solved something that would have never evolved..its that simple..play or dont play...I'll still enjoy my life the same with BK or no BK :)

MadMonkey: i just joined the tournament youre talking about. I'm playing too many games already but, what's one more tourney going to hurt.. I used to say whats one more game going to hurt when i had a few games less going on :)

MadMonkey: Maybe because most of players play tournaments at iyt. I feel that the tournament system here is bit disordered, or at least for me because I have got acquainted with the system at iyt.
