Jim Dandy: Thanks for that little piece. How do people get soooooo talented, I just want to know. I had a little discussion with a man at lunch the other day about the word musician. His idea was that only classical musicians were musicians, and everybody else is amateur. I knew I was in trouble at that point, and I just let it drop. He got no validation, and I knew I was right. I happen to be both, or have been, and it's nice to know I have knowledge beyond the imagination of some people.

TexasToest: I constantly try and maintain an objective point of view when it comes to different styles of music.It's so easy to label certain music as "crap" but I try and remember that it's an art form and regardless of it being pleasing to my ear it might be pleasing to others.In other words,there is no "bad" music,just different.I can appreciate those who are schooled in the finer points,but I was a self taught player and I think that also allows us to be less strict in what we can do,thus more creative at times.

Jim Dandy: oh thanks...I dunno about the royalties..I wondered about that too, but knowing her as I do, she got permission to put it in her song..whatever channels that takes.
Thanks- I think she's great too : )
She tells me that that song is based on my life with my kids and her other friends with kids..

Yeah, it's harder to get them out when they are dancing..
Just to clarify, one played fast pitch, one is a darn good dancer, and the other one (known on here as w0nder kitty) is our karate kid. She may look sweet and innocent, but she's a brown belt and NOT afraid to use the force! LOL
