II dont know if this might be related, probably not... but I have noticed that when I refresh this page manually, by using the "main page" link, it refreshes just fine. But when I leave it and it tries to refresh on its own, the page never finishes reloading, my little clock thingy at the top right corner of my screen just keeps on spinning and spinning

Is this a site problem, or my browser issue? It could have something to do with why games wont time out correctly? I would assume that the fact that no comment from Fencer means that he is working right now to correct some sort of issue?

LMAO! I was on this posting kick, and I looked back a bit at some of the old posts with my name in it... somethings never change, as the debate about vacation days usage was on at least 4 years ago!!

AbigailII: This is crazy.... I can agree that you can be considered a sore loser if you simply quit when you get behind, but to resign a game with no mathematical possibility to win, that is completely different.

Baseball, there is always a mathematical chance to win, and that is true for all sports. But a game like backgammon, there is a point when it is not finished, where one player has no mathematical chance to win.

Of course, here on Brainking, there is always a chance that someone can timeout, which is not a normal situation for games in general.

Yeah... and you can still see them on your friends online column, and there is still a green dot beside their name on your list for waiting games, but not on your online users list or your online opponents list?

Now I wonder.... if you are in a game with them, and you "move and go to the next game with an opponent who is online" would someone who has you blocked still count?

rod03801: That might be it then Rod, thanks!

I guess it is one way to find out who has you on blocked or enemies list....

Why should we even have any access to the profile of someone who has you on block then, I wonder?

Also, this issue of ponds, where people who have not been online cannot change their previous play, and people keeping track of this, makes it an advantage/disadvantage when this blocked user function comes into play, seems like this could be improved upon.... I gotta run now, but will have to give this some more thought

题目: last action
I am noticing that on most profile pages i see a "last action" line, says what time and day a person was here and what they are doing or if they have cloak mode....

But some profiles do not have this line available to see?

How does one have this info removed from their profiles anyway?

Also, I dont see this line on my own profile either, but I have done nothing to exclude it? Is it normal to not have this view for ourselves?

What are you saying??? The free market will work things out for itself???

...thought for sure you would advocate for the government to step in and make the evil paypal pay dearly for their bad business sense! Maybe even take over all online payment systems

Mayber we can move this on to the politics board.... have you explain to me the difference between the evil banks, who need the government to take over, or even your example of intel VS AMD, or online payment services??? How you can say in one breath thatpaypal will be a victome of its own bad business, but cant see that is how it should work for all businesses?

This isnt true.... but I do know what you are saying when it comes to the internet gambling thing... as an American, it is hard to get any money into play, you cant just use the ol credit card. First you have to make a deposit into someone like paypal, then have them put the money into the gambling site for you.... with all the transaction fees etc, we are already losing money before we even get started playing poker

But that does probably have something to do with why paypal can seem like a pain in the butt for someone like fencer, and others
