But still, if it ever happened it would be more likely to happen when not starting in the center. Don`t you agree? I know this to be the case in pro gomoku (even on a 19x19 board) and cannot see why the same thing wouldn`t apply to pente as well. I understand there is no sure win for first player in (pro) pente, which would abolish the potential need for more than a certain amount of room? 13. 三月 2003, 12:55:19 题目: Re: running out of room in go-moku, there are no captures, so running out of room might be more of a problem. I wouldn't know because I do not play the game, because I find it to be a poitnless and tedious game. In pente, with 5 captures ending the game, running of room is very unlikely. Is it more likely if the starting piece is not in the center? Sure, but it would be a concern for both sides, so I don't think it is a factor even then. |
