An hour ago my oponant had only 33 minutes now it's 2 days and I don't see where se signed for vacation or how the weekend times work

usual LJ trick, edit out the sarcasm bit so looks godly

nope, many have done this, ive watched mine do it all weekend. they were due to time out (red minutes) but the profiles were set for weekend days sat and sun. so when they timed out..they didnt. and they were extended to end of weekend.
now stop sighing...get your head out your *** and think straight :o)

I don't understand..If the time outs have been over for a while why did one of my games added 2 days to one of my timout oponants?

I too would like to have back the option to add them to favorites list. Often I want to post a new message to a board where there are no new messages, and like LJ said, I have to go to the fellowship firts to get to the DB.


P... you must have added Purple world to your favorites before the bk2 switch? and just dont remember?

Purple World must have been created before BK2 and Politics after.

There isn't much consistancy. Purple World is listed in Fav's and Fellowship columns but Politics R Us only in fellowship column. I never checked or unchecked anything ever.

On a few fellowship boards that I post often (including my own), I find it really hand to have them listed on my Favourite's board - and not have to go searching through the many fellowships that I'm in to find the correct one, then scroll down to find the message board.

I find the red number next to the fellowship name a GREAT feature so I don't have to have so many boards on my favourites list, but I still never understood what it hurt to keep that option there for who liked to use it.

You are right. It has the "do you want to remove the board.....".
But i don't dare to remove it, to see if i can add it again.

you dont need a fellowship board on your faves anymore anyway. If there are new messages, they appear in red numbers and you just click on the number and you are there. If there are no unread messages, you have to make 2 clicks to get there, but why? you have read all the messages anyway so this would be used infrequently

Now let me ask you, on the "Chess Club" fellowship board, does the button ask if you want to REMOVE the board, not add?

I know if you had a board on your favourites before the switch, you will have the option to remove it.

But no, since i can add "The Chess Club" there, something else must happening.......

It seems that since i had these before, they remained there.
But due to a mistake of me that removed the "The Gothic Chess Ladder: Enter the Vortex" discussion board from the list of favourites now i can't bring it back so i have been confused. But why i can't have it there? It's annoying.....

I'm surprised that there is a button for the Chess Club Fellowship - When BK2.0 came along, Fencer took the option to add any Fellowship boards to the favourites board. The only thing you can add to the favourites board list is regular discussion boards.

Why i can't add the discussion boards of some fellowships to my favourite boards?

For example i can't add discussion board of "The Gothic Chess Ladder: Enter the Vortex" or "Debate club" to the list of my favourite boards, while i can add the discussion board of "The Chess Club" for example to my favourite discussion boards.

While the "button" that says add this to favourite board, appers at The Chess Club fellowship, it doesn't appear at the other......

Ok,I found it & check marked it,,but I noticed that when I went back there,,my vacation days that I marked didnt stay..it was back to October..Is it suppose to do that?

I'm going on a two week vacation in November,,,I just set my vacation days,,but I didnt see the automatic thingy you mentioned..I will go look again 0:-)

MM: It's a matter of your browser, not BrainKing. BK only sends a message to inform the browser about the refresh period but cannot do anything more.

Fencer: Is refresh working ok. I have mine set at 1 minute and it has been fine. Every so often though it seems to stop.

BBW: I plan to do that for all paying members, of course.
About online status: 5 minutes.

Ahh.... too bad that method will be used to show pictures bigger... :-( ... Most of the small pictures are difficult to see well, on a television. And webtv can't use this "hot spot" method..

On Fencer's profile, if you put your mouse over his "small" picture, it will then bring up a bigger picture of himself.

Question: Is this something you are just playing around with Fencer, or something that you plan on offering all paid users who would like to have a bigger picture in their profile?

I just noticed in Settings that the paid members actually have to turn on the automatic vacation feature. So just a note to all paid players, you may want to turn that on!! :-)

i'd like to request that, since the "overwrite" option seen during setup in Espionage is potentially destructive (and will be used less often than "load position" option), it be placed lower in the list. the more potentially destructive an option is, the later it should appear in any list, to reduce the possibility of its being chosen by accident. so with this thought in mind, it's my belief that the list should read:

- load position
- rename position to __________
- overwrite selected position [or whatever it says]
- delete position

does that make sense?

If your status stays the same for 15(?) minutes - i.e. you are "browsing main page" for example, and do not go anywhere else on the site - it will take you off the 'who is online' list.

I'm not a computer geek, but as I understand it, the data base resets it self every so often, and when it does, if you don't have any activity in the last 5 min., then you are considered not on line

Just put everyone on your enemies list.

I think that if you wait for the 60 min refresh without loading a single page it will eventually show you has offline... but I'm not sure about this...

because it checks and can see you logged in and onliune, rather than logged in but not online

hmmm.... so how the site knows that I'm online ( logged in) but do nothing?
