alanback:I see so if I had waited to resign when I had no pieces on the bar it would have only conceeded a gammon. Silly me i was trying to speed the game up on get onto the next match, in future I'll play on until the inevitable happens. :-(

alanback: In the match that it occured the cube was on 2 and the match was for 5 pts, even if I conceeded a gammon this still should have meant there was a further match to play at least.

Subject: resign match - disgussion
What is the feeling when playing in a D/Cube match, of having the ability of conceeding a match without resigning the whole game. By this I mean the opposition would have the ability of declining and playing on or accepting and collecting the points on the cube at the time.

playBunny: My 2 bits worth, call it a draw and play again. I also believe that both dice should be used when ever possible ie good sportsmanship. Learn from the experience.

martinbr: If you are referring to the line score of finished games: This is a running total of games of this type aginst this person and who has won lost.

BIG BAD WOLF: I believe you have it correct, and I also agree with Walter M's posting that there is no such thing as a draw and he raises a valid point on resigning. I reckon the person being offered the resignation should have the right of decline at 1 point if they feel they would have got a gammon.

simplycreative: The rules are as per normal game of backgammon, only difference with the game is you only have 3 tokens not 15. Does this clarify for you.

Luke what dice you see on your first turn are what was rolled, if he has passed then he must have rolled the lower dice.

This could become mind boggling, what if the original frozen piece had the opponents piece on it when at the next turn the original player was able to land on the same spot again would this then have 2 blue pieces, then could the opposition land on it etc etc.

Also what happens if a second piece should land on it whilst it is frozen. Does this re-freeze it?
