This suggestion was brought to the Czech version of this board earlier today, Fencer's response was "Hmmmmmmm hm." so I'd say the Dark Ponds can appear soon here...(if I'm not too bold to derive that from his reposne, LOL)

Let's see. I'd definitely like to see this strategy work. Hopefully Ed is somehow going to participate in my pond.

Ed said: (This strategy) works for Pond games too, unless, as previously stated:

1. Some other person also derives the strategy.

2. A "kamikaze" id enters the pond with the sole objective to disrupt your strategy, even though they will lose sooner in doing so.

3. Everyone else messages what they will play, so it is you vs. the pond-dwellers rather than everyone for themself.

My Jacuzzi pond starts in about 24 hours. I would like to ask everybody participating in this pond to play exactly in the way as if there were no EdTrice involved. That means NO cooperation. If we all want to see whether his (or the Nash's) system works, let us provide him with the required, i.e. fair conditions. Thanks.

Ed - I'd like to see your spreadsheet-based strategy in practice. You can use it in my Run Around the Jacuzzi pond, if you want to.

and as you can see in this pond:

it's not always working to bet 2 assuming Cerise would bet 1, LOL.

I was actually thinking of betting 2 also but then I saw a pond where Cerise did not bet 1 so I placed a "regular" bet of 778...LOL

grenv - yes, exactly. I'm betting 92 now.

LOL, I can see that if I didn't fall in the pond in the last round, I'd definitely be there now...

I don't think so, IMHO anyone who bid 83 last round is an *****.
