Hello Barf, I have not asked you to remove your posts.. by removing them you stretched the entire discussion inside out and upside down.. and i don't see any humility in that.. Perhaps if you would have informed us about the removal of your posts.. but now it seems that we have been talking to the walls in here.. Nice NOT!

I agree an Aid-Program would be nice on this site but only with much scrutiny. There are some that will ask for help to buy membership that could well afford it better than I. It definetly should not be an easy spontaneous thing to acquire. Let's just all pray about it!

If past "promotions" count, then bwildman wins - got "Ironhorse Saloon" shirts from the BK store as promotions for a few users (if they agreeded to wear and send picture for store or something like that.)

Subject: Fellowship Promotions :-)
Gents and Ladies, BBW and jason are promoting their FS's.. lets try to create such a lovely promotion for your own FS's as well.. Perhaps we can make it alil contest: she/he who creates the most intelligent, most creative, promotion wins :-) No money prizes though, but alot of fun instead!

What do ya'll think?

Phooo, RalfKing, you sounds like an almighty! Remember you also thought to know about the people I knew had asked for continuation of their membership and their circumstances... I'd find it a better solution to ask AD in a PM.. besides this is the FS-board.. what you are trying to discuss is a private matter on a public board.. Thank you for your humility and consideration.

Again, right on Rose. That too was an issue. And it wasn't just the lack of gratitude, but the public attacks she put up with from one of the board moderators here that finally took its toll.

I also think had she been shown the tinest bit of gratitude for all yer hard work she wouldn't have left. She never felt appreciated at all and I have to agree with her there. The biggest problem with fund raising as well as donating is if a person doesn't feel any gratitude they wonder why they are bothering to do it. I do realize people do not donate for the thanks but it sure doesn't hurt if you want them to keep on donating!

Apparently Linda's fellowship is "dead". Unfortunately, Rose is correct in that Linda took a lot of abuse and let her membership revert back to a pawn. I hope she is starting to come back to BK.

WoW.. speaking about a can of hurtful worms.. :-( I am so sorry to hear that with regards to Linda! She organised an entire tourny for this site within that program beginning this year..

IN that light I am not sure about that FS being re-inforced without her.. she at least should get a membership to get her back here - if she wants that is...

Thank you Summertop for your 2 cents and sharing your experieces.. I checked the FS Boost a pawn but see its sleeping.. I hope someone is willing to sweep away the cobwebs and re-open it! Its my sincerest wish.. and it would be such a wonderful geste just before Christmas! :-)

Ok to open a can of hurtful worms...
Summertop, Linda is no longer a member here plus boost a pawn was disbanded pretty much. It got so much negative response from certain members that the idea was given up. Before the negativity the boost a pawn donators helped quite a few honest people get memberships here. But some didn't see the good of it and wanted to cause problems and grief for the big boss, citing that she was only in it for the glory. Linda was so hurt by the accusations it is one of the reasons she is no longer a member here.

On the recipes board, Foxy Lady gave a touching opinion of what "poor" is. I agree with her, but I think it goes beyond that. I think poor is a relative term to yourself. Anyone that has less than you do is "poor". I feel it is a responsibility that every individual has...to help those around them. To some giving them a good hot meal is help. To others giving them an extension on their BK membership is help. It is all commendable.

Now, obviously, helping someone with a need (food/shelter) comes before helping someone with a want (BK membership). But with my friends on here, that has NEVER been an issue. Has anyone refused to help a friend with a need (food/shelter) because they had to help another with extending a membership? I doubt it!

It is my experience that those that have the desire to help their on-line friends at BK, also have the desire to help ALL of their friends. They should be commended. In fact there is already a fellowship created to help BK friends.

Hi Ralphking, you speak before you know anything about this situation.. Reza's situation was different.. and i believe each situation will be different!

We always have discussions here how to get more members in here to help this site to have a stronger server so that the members can play without delay and having fun..

Do I miss here something? Why wouldn't we also discuss how to keep members in here not only for the business perspective; but from humanities view.. Humility..

In addition to that, I remember Reza organising a backgammon tourny out of appreciation.. For an anonymous member supported him by paying his rook membership!! How awesome :-)

Subject: Aid-Program
At Feature requests Nirvana and me launched a discussion about a charity program for members who will loose their membership, because of financial problems.. There has been raised an idea of forming a Fellowship with this goal in mind.. I cannot lead this FS.. because im way to busy with work and travels.. But I find the idea worth the thought.. its food for thought.. Please share any idea's and hope somebody will take the yolk and start a FS with regards to charity for members & friends.. Thank you and God bless!

Yesterday I said this on Feature request, just to give anybody an idea of what is going on:

Well, as far as I have been informed it concerns a member who is not able to renew his membership; so in this case its not about a multiple nic issue - its about supporting friends with whom we play and talk regularly...

Although I see many has given their 2 cents already, im not sure if that is the general opinion on this site with regards to this issue - so thats why I am posting on this issue anyways...

Its regarding a honest player who would be sad to leave this site.. If I would be in the position I think I would consider to help this person with this matter.. I hope others share my opinion..

Thank you and God bless you,
~*Radiant 36:9*~
