On the tournament tables, what is the difference in points and score. Which decides winner?

Not that it matters though

furbster & Rose I thought at 62 years of age I was pretty wise. "NOT" I have learned sooooo much being a member of BK in dealing with people when you have multiple goals.

Treating people as you would want to be treated is something I have had pounded into me since I was a teenager.hmmmmmmmmmm It still holds water and I am sticking with it, even if we only finish second in this tourney.

Subject: Re:
Andersp: I asked so that I would and could understand the rules.

I will admit that when several others with higher BKR's joined the team later after the first 8 did it made me wonder and think.

I suspect I am not the first person to have those thoughts. If I am I am surprised.

I suspect it has even been done before. I would hope not. I will not either. I have never had a tournament team before and have now learned to be patient and wait until everyone that wants to join, joins.

I made the mistake of running too fast out of excitement but have learned that if you wait, then you watch AD sweat when he as team captain has to decide which 8 plays and who doesn't.

Would you think it would be best in a F/S to just state the first 8 or is it not fair to say, sign up and then we will pick the best 8? Which do you guys do?

You are not a captain of Backgammon team.

I have never done this before, but I would like to enter a team........."You are not a captain of Backgammon team."

What does this mean and what must I do to enter a team?

JamesHird: Which brings up a good point.
I played every day for two years as a pawn and never entered a tournament.
Played several weeks after paying and never did.

For some reason some people are reluctant to participate in tourneys.

I was slow to get involved and was leery of tournaments. I only read GC and didn't see much said about them. Wasn't even sure that I could, if I didn't belong to a F/S.

There are a lot of misconceptions, as to who can do what or when.

I have asked pawn friends to get involved and most all seem to be afraid.

Play Backgammon, Hyper-Backgammon, Battleboats and Five-in-Line!!!! Prize of $50 USD to each tournament winner. Funds will be held by BrainKing and paid to winners at the end of the tournament. This change was made due to the difficulty in managing the funds for the MILIION DOLLAR PRIZE and felt a one-time PRIZE of $50 USD is in the best interest of the tournament! What a GREAT opportunity! Let's PLAY GAMESSSSSSS!!!!!
