题目: Re: Tournament hosts--message for players
Fencer: Is there a way to have a discussion board while the tournament is running? That way comments that are made as periodic updates could be posted immediately. I am not sure how many folks would come to the discussion boards after the fact. The community could surprise me, though. Thoughts?

题目: Tournament hosts--message for players
On the crosstable page for a particular tournament, I would like to see a way for the person who hosted the tournament to send a message to the participants, to keep them updated on the progress of the games, to alert the players to particularly interesting games, to say after x weeks/months how many games are completed, who is making it to play-offs, etc. in order to give the tournament players a sense of "community" within that particular competition. What do you think? It would be similar in approach to the Fellowship Big Bosses sending blanket statements to their members. From the action board of the Tournament Crosstable, the host could communicate to the players who joined the tourney. Thoughts?

By the way, are "ladders" that are mentioned in the feature request competition ladders or is it a game of some sort?

题目: Re: Thanks for little tweaks
Fencer: I have noticed some little adjustments to options, such as sending messages to all members of a fellowship at the same time, checking progress over months' time in a particular kind of gameplay (chess progress, for example, over a year's time in a graph), direct messaging, length, and some others I may have overlooked for the purpose for this message. Liquid and Fencer, for all that you have done, and all you continue to do, I thank you from the great state of Georgia. I just renewed my membership again, and I have been well pleased with your work.

题目: Re: Multi-game tournaments.
reza: I also am for that type of tournament. Best of 3 variants--like a triathlon, or maybe more events can be included. "Strategy Champion".

题目: I invite you to check this game out
I am a chess fan, and have designed a game (check out Sentinel Chess at www.chessvariants.com. Ed Friedlander, a programmer, designed a PixelPusher chess program to demonstrate the game --follow the link to www.pathguy.com/chess/Sentinel.htm and test it for yourself.

If you as a collective think it enjoyable, I would love to see it played here as well. This is a site that brings me great joy, and I want to add to the enjoyment if I can.

题目: Transcendent chess
Transcendent chess is a strong variant to add to the chess arsenal. A precursor to FischerRandom chess, both backfiles are shuffled, and are separate from one another. It may require some tweaking, as it has an option to transpose 2 pieces as the first move, instead of castling. There is no castling in TC. Also they are played in pairs, with the same position, and players take opposite colors.

There is an Auction TC where you can bid to see who goes first, and you can offer up a certain number of moves if you are feeling certain you can win with a particular position.

I see the list of games above, but I wanted to throw that one in.

Also, I would like to see Alice Chess (posted at Chess Variants: Alice Chess) and consists of 2 boards side by side. Pieces powers are as in "normal" chess, except that when they move, they disappear from one board and appear in the same square on the adjacent board. Moves must be legal on the "exit" board, and then the piece moves to the "enter" board, back and forth on each turn. Mate becomes harder to see, and plans take an odd turn. Interesting to see a CC version of this; I am not sure how much of a challenge programming would be.

I thought I would ask.

题目: Getting PGN scores from games
I would like to see a page that will display the PGN with timestamps--just the notation, not the download that is processed by my WinBoard (improperly). I am playing Gothic Chess and I wanted to show some people what good game tactics look like; but when I go to the PGN download page my WinBoard tries to display the game--and it cannot. ItsYourTurn.com has a page to download PGN and also to view PGN with timestamps. Is there a place here to do that?
