Can You define a torney to be of just one game type? or will all games be included? And also, If if set one up and want to change it Can I do that before anyone signs up. Sorry to bother you, But I don't want to start something wrongly!

Goonerg, I just tried it, all the games are included, and the only thing you can do is delete the whole tournament once its created. If you do one watch the BKR, its set quite high, it might need to be made lower so people can sign up!!
Its the same set-up as the tourney thats running now, it will just have your name at the top!

I am playing Maharajah chess against one of the prominent players ont this site and invited him to play an other game with changed colours.
"Normal behaviour" according to the way i am brought up is accept or decline the invitation instead of ignore it. This player has played at least 10 moves in the other game, so he must have seen the invitation. Is this the way Czech people are raised?????????

Maybe a daft question but are u sure he understands English.? - Also If he accidentally clicked Ignore instead of add to Friends, would he still see your invite.???

also if they are not a member they might not have room for another game....

Ian, the is no "ignore button" just accept or decline.
Eddie, the player is a Brain Rook but also if he has not enough room for an other game he can decline the invitation!

Sorry i meant the Add to friends & Add to enemies options when loading your profile.:) - Looks like he speaks English, so that can't be why.! - I can't see him deliberatly ignoring u.:)

I also don't understand. If he don't answer in a few days i resign that other game. I don't wanna play such players and add him to my enemies

sometimes a backgammon board is the correct position, the bearing off is to the right === but other boards are bearing off to the left, which is so confusing. will someone please explain if this is going to be something we have to get used to or if I missed the post, I am sorry, I would hope that all variants of backgammon would have the same set up.

I too thought that bearing off was to the right.

The current status is that white player has bearing off to the right and black to the left. More options will be added soon.

Elma, Czechs are not raised to offend people.In the case of this man...I think he doesn't want to neither ignore you nor decline you...he wants to play with you as soon as he finish one of his games and then he can accept your invitation. This is what I think is going on. People do that sometimes to me...they kind of put me into waiting line...well, that's ok with me...if I do not want to wait...I just cancel invitation. Do not put him into your enemies, please...he is a good man...better...write him letter that it upsets you.I think he is not aware of you being offended right now.

As a token of gratitude, for all Fencer has done on this site to make it a great place to play & make new pals I thought now is a good time for us to start telling him on here on these boards.
So far a great job & can only get better in time.

Have tried a few times to invite a friend Raviloi ruby to a game. it starts to put me thru the invite and I click what game type, then when i click send it pops up to the list of game types.. so i try to invite her from there and click on list of pals ( which she is in ) but her name isnt listed... help! There is no way even if i try to invite her to a game from the message box of an old game can i send one out to her

If you have her as an enemy she can not send you an invite, but if she has you as an enemy by accident, she could still send you one (i think lol)

cheers MM i had a look and did have her as an enemy by accident, but a friend too! its sorted now and im on bended knee apologising to our rosie :O)

Fair points here, but Elma is right in my eyes, that when one invites, they should at least get a reason for the decline!

Fencer, can you change the setting's so user's can have the same Id as another. I want to change my name, but somebody has it, and they have not returned to the site for 2 months.

Which user is it? I must check him first, I cannot change one's name anytime, it is not fair.

Not too sure about this invite thing. Think about a telephone ringing. Must one answer it? Is it rude not to answer it? similarly with e-mails. It's seems odd that a guy doesn't deal with invites - but surely that is his/her business.
