This is not arguing, it is a fact of the computer age and of the www. This is why I say "everything?" as sometimes (as I recall from past problems) a simple yet overlooked fix at your friends end could be affecting access. As to be a know all.. no. From experience.. they do have internet as well as digital TV, so you can do your moves whilst on the ward.
