anastasia: no. I didn't explain that well.
Fencer sets up team tournaments. You can create a team from your fellowship and assign a captain who will sign up your tournament's team for the team tournament to compete with all the other teams signed up.

In the past, I know of a certain fellowship who wanted to have a competition against another fellowship they challenged.
They kept track of them the way you are keeping trakc of the guys vs gals tourney in your fellowship.

I hope this clears that up- please feel free to send me a PM with any questions or post them here.

anastasia: except for the team tournaments, which are organized by Fencer, you would have to keep track like you've been doing in your fellowship

Anyone who knows better than me - feel free to correct me here

I have to say that since I'm on often, I love the fast tourneys. When work is slow, or it's the weekend, I can rush through them quickly- sometimes if my opponents are on line- it's great to have a one on one and finish it right away! Very fun.
I also like the ones I'm not under pressure to move every day when work picks up. Since this sight gives you so much flexibility, why not enjoy both kinds? I do!
I love your tourneys Bry. There's always great competative players in them. I'm in!

Nope- as long as they are moving within the time allowed in the tournament. Sometimes if you send a PM to the person asking them nicely to please move, they will do so.

Then Binabik is right- she will lose the games in the tourney, but her BKR won't be affected?

Argomento: Re: resigning a game
Binabik: I believe that if you resign a game, it counts as a loss. You can delete a regular game before a certain number of moves are made, but I don't know if that applies in a tournament. I'll see if I can find out

Purple: I understand your frustruation. I like it for the times like when I was unable to log on due to cable access trouble in my area because of some construction going on, so it did enable me to keep some of my games going. But I know some people abuse it, and that's frustruating for everyone, especially a pawn who had limits on tournaments.
But as a result of my using autovacation to prevent timeouts, my vacation days are used up- so I have to think that it's one vacation day for every game it's used on. So opponents shouldn't be able to keep prolonging the games with it. They will time out if they don't move the game I think.

I hope this answers your question Tarantino Fan, you can read the section about autovaction in the help menu

TarantinoFan: hmmmmmmmmmmm......good question. I believe it uses a day for every game missed, but I could be wrong about that- anyone else out there know how to explain this better?
Sometimes, paying members have many games going at once, and it's hard to keep up, but if you send them a PM and ask them to move, most times they will. It certainly can't hurt to ask.

Purple: thanks- yes, that would be cheating. Proving that would be kind of difficult tho.

I personally don't think comments made in a game should affect the outcome of who wins the prize. It should be based on the skill of the player, no matter what they have to say. I just ignore them too, and for me, amyways, when I beat someone who's trying to give me a hard time, well the victory is all that much sweeter : )
But it's easy for me to play without letting what someone says to me affect how I play.

Jules: None that I know of really. I just wasn't sure what he meant about "bad conduct"
If it's acceptable to win using programs and that isn't ruled out in the tournament to begin with, then I would think that any wins would be acceptable.
I just meant if there was some way to prove someone actually cheated in some other way, that would disqualify them from a prize. Otherwise, then if they win the games, the prize should be given.
I guess what I'm trying to say is a prize shouldn't be determined by a person's words or any personality conflicts. That if they win, they should get the prize.

THE HIT MAN: I think that if a prize is offered for a tournament, then the winner of the games of that tournament should win the prize.
But, I agree with Bry, it depends on what you mean by "bad conduct"
If it can be proved the person cheated to win, then they shouldn't win the prize. If you mean that they used words in a game that someone personally doesn't like, then that should have no bearing on whether they win the prize or not. The win should be based on the games won. Just my opinion.
