Yes, it is especially bad for pawns stuck in tournaments in these situations. A membership is rather in-expensive, though! :-D

as a rook, he has 30 vacation days per year. I don't know how many he has left at this point. Hopefully not many! lol.. i have a game or 2 with him too..

Basically, Yes. He has selected "auto-vacation".. so that games will not time out, for as many vacation days as he has left..

Have you looked at the Messages in your message box, at the mathematics of the BKR changes of those games?
