andrey-king: I like this idea. I think I might do them quarterly as I did years ago. I'm not sure why I stopped having regularly scheduled tournaments. Some games seem to attract strong players and that makes for a good tournament, though very hard to win. Embassy Chess is one variant that is very similar to regular Chess, though it is its own game.

The next quarter starts on July First. I'll see what I can do. I might try some of the other games too. It has been awhile since I played Dark Chess regularly. I used to be pretty good at the game. If this tournament ends before June starts, maybe we'll do it at the start of June? Or maybe a week or two after the end of this tournament?

Embassy Chess is a hard game for me to play well. I have been getting some lessons handed to me in this tournament and also I have made some good moves too. I am glad you and few others joined the tournament. It was your suggestion to start this tournament. I will see if I can work with Fencer about a few things.

andrey-king: What do you have on mind andrey-king?

I am liking this tournament, though I will not be winning it.
There's been some good games. I am hoping it will be complete in two weeks.
It seems the time parameters and playing are moving fairly well even though there's many type of players and the speeds they move at.. Of the original 42 games, only 13 remain to be finished.

Are you aware of this rule from the list of membership levels?
https://brainking.com/en/PaidMembership?p=1&ht=14

[ 2.1) Number of joined tournaments
[
[ A free membership allows a player to join only one tournament and until this tournament is finished, the player cannot sign up for another one.

---- ---- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- ----- -----
If I or someone else create more tournaments, you will not be allowed to join any of them unless you change your membership level, or until this tournament is complete. That is one of the reasons I choose this timing method as I did want someone to get trapped in the tournament because of one player dragging the clock for any number of reasons.
