Modified by Hrqls (24. October 2006, 09:12:13)
split the 2 entries

the process is :

  1. create a new post per book

  2. edit the book list with the title of the post and the link to the post

i dont know if an editor can be used for it .. i use plain html

  • <ul> starts an unordered list

  • <li> starts each list item

  • <a href=..link..> starts a link

  • </a> comes after the description of the link

  • </li> finishes each list item

  • </ul> finishes an unordered list

i think all mods and comods can edit posts ?
i am not sure if a comod can change the discription at the top of this board ?

Mr. Usurper: the da vinci code is a nice book, a nice detective-like book with some puzzles in them which the main persons in the book have to solve

the puzzles involve the church (i think roman catcholic, but not sure, at least cristian :)) as well as the tempeliers

there are some things said in the book which are a bit controversial ... but nothing people should get mad about ... well as long as you wont get mad about the sorcery in harry potter :)

Subject: site to buy/sell used books (dutch)
i am looking for a site where i can buy and sell used books ... dutch books :)

i am looking for rapsodie by elizabeth haydon
(the english version would be rhapsody)
its part 1 of a trilogy of which i already have part 2 and 3 in dutch (publisher: meulenhof)

i might also want to use such a site to sell a book, dragons of autumn twilight by weis end hickman (part 1 of the dragonlance series) .. i had part 1 already, but when i wanted to buy part 2 and 3 the whole trilogy was for sale for a lower price and 2+3 so i bought the trilogy, leaving me with part 1 twice :)

anyway .. does anyone know of such a site ?

it made me really get a warm feeling in my stomach .. reminded me of when i was younger (old guy as i am ;)) .. it really made me look forward to the next book ... so i think it was in book 4 ?

harley: hehe that might be a problem i might have as well .. especially when i hear those who already read the book tell me they liked it so much .. i just hope the end wont disappoint me ... as everyone (including the jk rowling) says someone is going to die .. deaths should be described with the correct emotions (ever read george rr martin ?? he rules!! ;))
i am trying to keep myself in hand and be patient .. and not to rush it too much once i have it .. i will try to give myself time to sink into the book once again .. i like it best that way :)

Kata Liana: i like the books because i have my own emotions with them .. movies sometimes force a bit unto you ... but i have to admit the potter movies are great .. almost exactly as i read the books as well .. of course there are bits missing .. but they did a good job .. if you liked the movies then you will like the books as well .. plus the books are ahead of the movies so you can read in advance :)

last week part 6 (Harry Potter and the half blood prince) was for sale in english

the dutch translation wont be out for several months though :( .. i will have to wait until the 9th of november ....

(my mother bought me my first potter book (part 2 which she thought to be part 1 :)) ... she bought it in dutch ... and as i want the series to be complete i am now forced to buy the other parts in dutch as well .. and wait some more time :()

ah well ... at least i still have something to look forward to .. when all the english people are done i can still start and have fun :)

did anyone buy it yet ? finish it yet ? whats your opinion about it ? (and the rest of the series ;))

about 20 years ago i started reading science fiction and loved it ..

i loved :

at least those are the ones that i remember right at once ... so i must have loved them a lot :)

about 15 years ago i slowly turned to reading fantasy and since about 10 years 99% of what i read for fun is fantasy.

at this moment i love/adore/worship/.. :

of course i didnt mention a lot of other (sci-fi & fantasy)authors to whom i was addicted for quite some time :)
