Subject: Re: report user
repliers :) : I see, thanks for your input. I just got a message typical of somebody who is out there "spamming" people with messages that have nothing to do with gaming, so I wished to report that person so that other people would not be affected.

Short question: is there a way to "report" a BK user (other than blocking that person of course), or only through direct contact with an admin?

Thanks

Fencer: How did you know I have that browser? Thanks, using the No Fonts option and slayed is the dragon! Yipee!

and... the first thing that appeared after changing to the "no-fonts mode" was.... yes... The dragon! Any help on how to get rid of it? I'd appreciate it very much!

P.S. The fact that the dragon appears here as well pretty much nullifies my previous comment...

BIG BAD WOLF: If i understood correctly, the only way to shut off the dragon is by selecting the "No fonts" option. Am I correct?

I didn't exactly understood who put the dragon in (I would have imagine it coming from either Fencer or Liquid, but I don't quite follow why Pauloguia made a comment where it sounded like it was him. The reason for this question/comment is that I find it bad that things just pop up for no particular reason and that the only way to eliminate it, is by deselecting most of the design. This makes all the work put into the design as somewhat of a waste, as due to some annoying thing, one prefers to get rid of it, even at the price of just turning the design into its simplest mode.

The reason it annoys me, is actually not its flying. The reason is that in the browsers window, a "loading" message starts showing a loading message in the bottom part of the window. It's distracting from what one is currently doing (moving, thinking, writing messages). It kind of feels like somebody is poking you while being only (characteristically of annoying people or kids :-) ).

Anyway, I just wanted to add my comment with regard to the Dragon. Cheers!

Gr☺uch☺: do you know when timeouts will be re-established? The Fisherman tourneys Francesco setup for his record-breaking day are not timing out and since I have been moving, I am down to 5 hours left or so in some games, while the other players have a fresh 24h!

joshi tm: except that he was done at about 22:10h! ;-) What i found impressive (even more so!) was that he didn't have THAT many open games. Less than a thousand! Quite a feat 8and also quite something I am not going to try! :P)

Subject: 10 000
Fencer Looks like the fall of the 10 000 moves approaches as impecable as water breaks rock over time! Is that it then for that part of the October Action? Or would the previous 8000+ movers still have a chance at that secret consolation prize, if say the 10 000 moves and the overall record is broken?

nightmagic: I think that Fencer addressed that issue last month as well on the Czech Board, and I think that he'll take control if at the end of the month it'll be needed. No need to start worrying about it now: it's a marathon! I've always said it! ;-)

King Reza: I talked with Pedro Martinez the other day about it and it seemes like he still has some questions not answered yet. He'll be back next week I think so you can PM him! The info. I know is as of the end of last month I believe! :-)

King Reza: That sounds like a great idea! I think you should put the rules down on the "interviews!" link, because otherwise your post is going to go way down here on the board and people will not notice it.

Fencer Maybe you can write a short blog about this on brainking.info? Or have like a little icon next to the google bar that reads "New Info: Interviews" or something like this and so that it goes to the rules King Reza posted?

:)

King Reza: I think your initiative is really good! I would be more for a "interviewing-committee", in the sense that the interviews were carried out offline anyhow and the interviewers duties were to collect the questions and then pass them on for publication on the site. The reason I'd be for a committee is so that more people are involved and more of the evergrowing facets and plurality (if there is such a word! ) of BK can be interviewed/represented! :)

bouncybouncy: what was the programm you had running in the background when you connected to the internet? I defragmented my disk last night and going to run the clear disk space today. What other things did you run? I'm actually not having problems with the loading of sites, but with my PC in general... every now and then the PC freezes for like a second until it resumes.
