Congrats to Dein for taking the trophy and to Thad for coming in 2nd. It's obvious to me though that these fast timers hurt my game I won't be doing quite so tight of timers on the next KOTH.

My thanks to everyone who entered.....this was a fun & insane little pente tournament. -Brf

Brf - Timeouts

It appears many of us have timed out at one point or another, and I handed one to Dein yesterday....a clutch player one game so that's going to give him an advantage I'm sure. I think the time limits are too tight, 12 hours per move is a bit too tight for turn based play.

I'll hone this KOTH tourney in eventually, for now I just would like to see a light at the end of the tunnel . Next time I'll make some adjustments to the time limits so they're a bit more forgiving. -Brf

tarcellius: I, too, am sorry, but for my resignations. I have some familial issues I'm having to take care of and only feel that I can handle a little involvement at a time.

Forgive for any disadvantages as well.

Lisa

(and for those who know thanks for the understanding)

tarcellius: I think the 12-hour bonus hurt everyone, including me. Fortunately, I only timed out in a single game that I was going to get crushed in anyway.

I'm hoping that the overall winner won't be determined by timeouts (unless it's brf handing the KOTH crown to someone else). ;-)

Well, I clearly wasn't able to keep up with this tournament this time. Last weekend I timed out of a bunch of games, and now this weekend I have again. I don't remember this happening last time - is the format different for weekends or am I just busier?

Anyway, I hope I didn't disadvantage anyone with my timeouts.

Thad: well that was most definitely not the intent. I selected two games match, that's all I wanted....Though I have to tell you the tournament selection screen has more problems than I can possible hope to detail here....it's confusing as hell especially since it's meant to cover all aspects of all game types besides pente. I thought if I just selected the two game match format that would solve the previous problem I'd had where we only played one game and not a set. If what you've mentioned here thad is in fact true I apologize, possible I could have fencer adjust this I don't know? as soon as someone finishes a game though I suspect it'd be too later to alter anything. Regardless, one of these days this will turn out how I envisioned it good luck everyone!

Each player is playing TWO two-games matches against every other player. Have I got this right?

I've got two games against each of you and each one is game one of a two-games match.

Oh, Brf, you and your wacky formats. ;-)
